“雅各，我所呼召的以色列啊！你要聽我的話。我就是‘那位’，我是首先的，也是末後的。

誰從起初講說這事，使我們知道呢？誰從先前說明，以致我們說“他沒有錯”呢？誰也沒有說明，誰也沒有宣告，誰也沒有聽見你們的話！

我是阿拉法，是俄梅格；我是首先的，也是末後的；我是創始的，也是成終的。”

我看見了他，就仆倒在他腳前，像死了一樣。他用右手按著我，說：“不要怕！我是首先的，我是末後的，

我從起初就宣告末後的事，從古時就述說還未作成的事，說：‘我的計劃必定成功，我所喜悅的，我都必作成。’

耶和華說：“你們就是我的見證人，我所揀選的僕人，為要使你們知道，並且相信我，又明白我就是‘那位’；在我以前沒有神被造出來，在我以後也必沒有。

耶和華以色列的王，以色列的救贖主、萬軍之耶和華這樣說：“我是首先的，我是末後的；除我以外，再沒有真神。誰像我呢？讓他宣告，讓他述說，又在我面前陳明吧！自從我設立古時的子民，未來的事和將要發生的事，讓他們把它們述說出來吧！

你要回想古時的日子，思念歷代以來的年月；問你的父親，他必告訴你；問你的長者，他們必對你說。至高者把地業賜給列國的時候，把人類分開的時候，就照著以色列子孫的數目，立定了萬民的境界。

主神說：“我是阿拉法，我是俄梅格；我是今在、昔在、以後要來，全能的神。”

“必有童女懷孕生子，他的名要叫以馬內利。”以馬內利就是“神與我們同在”的意思。

“你要寫信給在士每拿教會的使者，說：‘那首先的、末後的、曾經死去而又活過來的，這樣說：

誰把雅各交出來給掠奪者？誰把以色列交給搶劫的呢？豈不是耶和華，就是我們得罪的那位嗎？因為他們不肯遵行他的道，也不肯聽從他的律法。

主說：“先前的事，我從古時就預言過了，已經從我的口裡說出來了，又說給人聽了；我忽然行事，事情就都成就了。因為我知道你是頑固的，你的頸項是鐵的，你的額是銅的，所以我從古時就告訴了你；在事情還沒有發生以前，我就說給你聽了，免得你說：‘這些事是我的偶像所作的，是我的雕像和鑄像所命定的。’你已經聽見了，現在要注意這一切事。難道你不述說嗎？從今以後，我要把新的事，就是你不知道的隱祕的事，告訴你。這些事是現在才造成的，並不是從古時就有的；在今天以前，你還未曾聽見過，免得你說：‘看哪！這些事我早已知道了。’

他從一個本源造出了萬族來，使他們住在整個大地上，並且定了他們的期限和居住的疆界，

這是自古以來就顯明了這些事的主所說的。’

說：“你所看見的，要寫在書上，也要寄給以弗所、士每拿、別迦摩、推雅推拉、撒狄、非拉鐵非、老底嘉七個教會。”

我吩咐你們的一切，都要教導他們遵守。這樣，我就常常與你們同在，直到這世代的終結。”

“雅各家啊，以色列家所有餘剩的人哪！你們都要聽我的話，你們自出母腹，就蒙我懷抱；自出母胎，就蒙我提攜。直到你們年老，我還是一樣；直到你們髮白，我仍然懷抱你。我以前既然這樣作了，以後我仍必提攜你；我必懷抱你，也必拯救你。

誰曾用掌心量過海水，用手掌測過蒼天呢？誰曾用升斗量過大地的塵土，用秤稱山嶺，用天平稱岡陵呢？

你們向天舉目吧！看是誰創造了這些萬象？是誰按著數目把萬象領出來，一一指名呼喚？因他的大能大力，連一個也不缺少。
