Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.

我告訴你們，這人回家去比那人倒算為義了。因為凡自高的，必降為卑；自甘卑微的，必升為高。」

「我要在你前面行，修平崎嶇之地。我必打破銅門，砍斷鐵閂。

我要使大小山岡變為荒蕪，使其上的花草都枯乾；我要使江河變為沙洲，使水池盡都乾涸。我要引導盲人行他們所不認識的道，引領他們走他們未曾走過的路；我在他們面前使黑暗變為光明，使彎曲變為平直。這些事我都要做，並不離棄他們。

因萬軍之耶和華的一個日子要臨到所有驕傲狂妄的，臨到一切自高的，使他們降為卑；臨到黎巴嫩高大的香柏樹、巴珊的橡樹，臨到一切高山、一切峻嶺，臨到一切碉堡、一切堅固的城牆，

田野的樹木因此就知道是我－耶和華使高樹矮小，使矮樹高大，使綠樹枯乾，使枯樹發旺。我－耶和華說了這話，就必成就。」

你要發出你滿溢的怒氣，見一切驕傲的人，使他降卑；你見一切驕傲的人，將他制伏，把惡人踐踏在原來地方。你將他們一同埋藏在塵土中，把他們的臉遮蔽在隱密處。
