又说：“主啊！你起初立了地的根基，天也是你手的工作。天地都要毁灭，你却长存；天地都要像衣服一样渐渐残旧，你要把天地像外套一样卷起来，天地就像衣服一样被更换；只有你永不改变，你的年数也没有穷尽。”

我奠定大地根基的时候，你在哪里呢？你若有聪明，就只管说吧。你一定晓得是谁定大地的尺度，是谁把准绳拉在大地之上？地的基础奠在哪里，地的角石是谁安放的？那时晨星一起歌唱，神的众子也都欢呼。海水冲出如婴孩出母胎，那时谁用门把海水关闭呢？是我以云彩当作海的衣服，以幽暗当作包裹海的布；我为海定界限，又安置门闩和门户，说：‘你只可到这里，不可越过，你狂傲的波浪要在这里止住。’

那时，耶和华还没有造大地和田野，也没有造地上的泥土。他立定诸天的时候，我在那里；他在渊面上界划地平线的时候，我在那里；他上使穹苍坚固，下使深渊的水泉稳定；

我又看见一个白色的大宝座，和坐在上面的那位。天地都从他面前逃避，再也看不见了。

神高深莫测之事你怎能查出呢？全能者的终极你怎能洞悉呢？他的智慧高于诸天，你能作什么呢？比阴间还深，你怎能识透？他的智慧比地长，比海宽。

你披上亮光好像披上外袍；展开诸天好像铺张帐幔。你在水上立起你楼阁的栋梁；你以云彩为战车；乘驾风的翅膀而行。

他为风定轻重，又度量众水；
