歲暮尼布甲尼撒王遣使臣、取王至巴比倫、虜耶和華殿之珍器、立約雅斤叔西底家、治猶大耶路撒冷、

執之、解至立拉、見巴比倫王、王斷其事、乃殺西底家諸子、使其目睹之、然後瞽其目、繫以銅索、解至巴比倫。

當告違逆之族、云、爾知是乎、巴比倫王至耶路撒冷、虜其王公牧伯、至於巴比倫、與王子結約、加以盟誓、取其世家為質、使國為卑、不復振興、但守盟約、猶可自保。乃王子背巴比倫王約、遣使至埃及、欲其率軍馬以至、彼行是事、豈能亨通、豈能免難、爽約之人、豈能獲救。我耶和華指己而誓、王子既為巴比倫王所立、藐視其主、爽其盟約、則必至巴比倫而沒、敵既築壘建營、欲滅邑眾、法老雖率旅眾多、以助其戰、亦必不利、蓋王子於立約之後、不以盟誓為重、而爽其約、故不能免難。主耶和華又曰、彼藐視約言、而背我命、我指己而誓、必罰其罪、罹之以網羅、陷之以坎阱、曳至巴比倫、在彼降災、以罰其罪、

凡免殺戮者、虜至巴比倫、使為奴婢、世供服役、迨巴西國興。

以約雅斤、與王母、王后、宦豎、及有能力者、自耶路撒冷、擄至巴比倫、

抉西底家之目、繫以銅索、被逮於巴比倫、

故使亞述王軍長攻之、執馬拿西、擊以鐵索、解至巴比倫、
