And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood who will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”

‘ Some of the members of your family line will be taken away. They will be your own flesh and blood. They will include the children who will be born into your family line. And they will serve the king of Babylon in his palace.’ ”

And some of your own sons, who will come from you, whom you will father, shall be taken away, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”

‘ Some of your very own sons will be taken away into exile. They will become eunuchs who will serve in the palace of Babylon’s king.’”

‘ Some of your descendants— who come from you, whom you father— will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.’”

犹大王约雅敬在位第三年，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒来到耶路撒冷，将城围困。主将犹大王约雅敬和上帝殿中的一些器皿交在他的手中。他就把他们带到示拿地他神明的庙里，将器皿收入他神明的库房中。王吩咐太监长亚施毗拿，从以色列人的王室后裔和贵族中带进几个人来，就是没有残疾、相貌俊美、通达各样学问、知识聪明俱备、足能在王宫侍立的少年，要教他们迦勒底的文字和语言。王从自己所用的膳和所饮的酒中，派给他们每日的分量，养育他们三年，好叫他们期满以后侍立在王面前。他们中间有犹大人但以理、哈拿尼雅、米沙利和亚撒利雅。太监长给他们另外起名，称但以理为伯提沙撒，称哈拿尼雅为沙得拉，称米沙利为米煞，称亚撒利雅为亚伯尼歌。

犹大王约雅斤和他母亲、臣仆、王子、官员一同出来，向巴比伦王投降。巴比伦王俘掳了他，那时是巴比伦王第八年。

过了一年，尼布甲尼撒王差遣人将约雅斤和耶和华殿里宝贵的器皿带到巴比伦，然后立约雅斤的叔父西底家作犹大和耶路撒冷的王。

迦勒底人就拿住王，带他到利比拉的巴比伦王那里；他们就判他的罪。他们在西底家眼前杀了他的儿女，挖了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁着他，带到巴比伦去。

“你要对那悖逆之家说：你们不知道这些事是什么意思吗？你要这样说，看哪，巴比伦王曾到耶路撒冷，把其中的君王和官长带到巴比伦去，又从以色列王室后裔中选取一人，与他立约，令他发誓，又掳走国中有势力的人，使王国衰弱，不再强盛，只能靠守盟约方得生存。他却背叛巴比伦王，差派使者前往埃及，要求埃及人给他马匹和许多人。他岂能亨通呢？这样做的人岂能逃脱呢？他背了约岂能逃脱呢？主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，他定要死在巴比伦，就是巴比伦王所在之处；因为巴比伦王立他为王，他竟轻看向王所起的誓，背弃王与他所立的约。当敌人建土堆，筑堡垒，要歼灭许多人时，法老虽有强大军队和大批人马，在战场上还是不能帮助他。他轻看誓言，背弃盟约，看哪，虽已投降，却又做这一切的事，他必不能逃脱。所以主耶和华如此说：我指着我的永生起誓，他既轻看我的誓言，背弃我的约，我必使这罪归到他头上。我要把我的网撒在他身上，他就被我的罗网缠住。我要带他到巴比伦，在那里因他背叛我的罪惩罚他。

凡脱离刀剑的幸存者，迦勒底王都掳到巴比伦去，作他和他子孙的仆婢，直到波斯国兴起。

他把约雅斤和他的母亲、后妃、官员，以及这地的贵族，都从耶路撒冷掳到巴比伦去了，

并且挖了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁住他，要带到巴比伦去。

所以耶和华使亚述王的将领来攻击他们，用手铐铐住玛拿西，用铜链锁住他，把他带到巴比伦去。
