Isaiah had said,“ Prepare a poultice of figs and apply it to the boil, and he will recover.”

When Hezekiah was sick, Isaiah had said,“ Press some figs together. Spread them on a piece of cloth. Apply them to Hezekiah’s boil. Then he’ll get well again.”

Now Isaiah had said,“ Let them take a cake of figs and apply it to the boil, that he may recover.”

Then he spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and spread the mud over the blind man’s eyes.

Then Isaiah said,“ Make an ointment from figs.” So Hezekiah’s servants spread the ointment over the boil, and Hezekiah recovered!Meanwhile, Hezekiah had said to Isaiah,“ What sign will the Lord give to prove that he will heal me and that I will go to the Temple of the Lord three days from now?”

Jesus led him away from the crowd so they could be alone. He put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then, spitting on his own fingers, he touched the man’s tongue.
