主啊，我活着的日子都在於你；我靈之生命只是你的。求你使我康健，讓我活着。

Lord, by such things people live; and my spirit finds life in them too. You restored me to health and let me live.

Lord, people find the will to live because you keep your promises. And my spirit also finds life in your promises. You brought me back to health. You let me live.

O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these is the life of my spirit. Oh restore me to health and make me live!

Lord, your discipline is good, for it leads to life and health. You restore my health and allow me to live!

他使你受苦，任你饑餓，將你和你列祖所不認識的嗎哪賜給你喫，使你知道人活着、不是單靠着食物，人活着、乃是靠着永恆主口裏所出的一切話。

『人在床上被管教於苦痛中，他骨頭的掙扎常年不斷；以致他生活中厭棄食物，他的胃口厭惡美味。他皮肉消瘦，很是難看；素常不見的骨頭都凸出來。他的性命臨近冥坑，他的生命近於滅命者。若有一位使者伺候着他，若千位中有一位傳話者，將人該行的正當事指示他，上帝若向他開恩，說：「贖救他免下冥坑；我已為他的性命得了贖價；讓他的肉比孩童的肉更嫩；讓他回到他青春之日。」那麼他要向上帝懇求，上帝就喜悅他，使他以歡呼朝見自己；又將自己的義氣恢復與人。這人在別人面前歌唱說：「我犯了罪，屈枉了正直，卻沒有受該得的報應。上帝贖救了我的性命免過去到冥坑；我的生命見到亮光。」

你這使我經見了多而慘惡之患難的、你必使我活過來，使我從地府之最低處再上來。

然而若受主審判，乃是受主懲罰管教，免得跟世人一同受定罪。

我們這片刻間輕微的苦難、正為我們作成着高超無量極重無比永世之榮耀呢。

他們呢、是在短暫日子裏照自己以為對的來管教；他呢、卻為了我們的益處、要使我們有分於他的聖善。一切管教、在當時似乎不是喜樂，而是憂愁；以後呢、卻給那些由此而受操練的人結出平安的果子、就是正義的果子、來。

我的性命緊貼着塵土，照你的話使我活過來哦！

耶穌回答說：『有記着說：「人活着、不是單要靠着餅，乃是靠上帝口裏所出的一切話。」』

哦，巴不得你迎接那悔改而行義，在你的道路上懷念着你的人哦！看哪，你震怒了，我們仍然犯罪；這樣持之已久，我們還能得救麼？
