Like a shepherd’s tent my house has been pulled down and taken from me. Like a weaver I have rolled up my life, and he has cut me off from the loom; day and night you made an end of me.

我受驚恐時、我云、我已見絕於主之目前、然我呼籲主、主仍俯聽我祈求之聲、

永無居民、世無人居、亞拉伯人不張幕於彼、牧人不使羊群憩息於彼、

但明日究竟如何、爾不知也、爾之生命如何、乃如雲霧暫現、頃刻即不見矣、

我亦如此得困苦之月、憂勞之夜、為我而定、我寢時、則曰何時夜盡而興、或作我寢時則曰何時夜盡乃夜偏長輾轉反側、直至平旦、我徧身被蟲蒙埃、膚裂膿出、膚裂膿出或作膚始愈膿復流我日速逝、較織者之梭尤速、悉消沒於無望之中、爾試思我之生命、無非一氣、我目不復見福祉、

主使我力、中道衰微、使我年壽短少、我即云、求我天主、莫使我中年逝世、惟主之年壽、永世無窮、

郇城僅存、猶葡萄園之廬、瓜田之棚、如被困之邑、

旦夕之間、即見毀滅、不意之中、不意之中或作人不計及永歸無有、

我氣已衰、我命垂盡、我命垂盡或作我之日月已將無有惟有墳墓以待我、

使之青年短少、使之受辱蒙羞、細拉、主歟、此將至何時、主隱藏至於永遠乎、主之盛怒、將如烈火炎燒乎、求主垂念我之歲月甚短、主創造世人、緣何使之如此虛幻、

我日速逝、較驛卒而尤速、趨而不見福祉、我日已逝、速如扁舟、又如鵰鷹、飛以攫物、
