Like a shepherd’s tent my house has been pulled down and taken from me. Like a weaver I have rolled up my life, and he has cut me off from the loom; day and night you made an end of me.

My body is like a shepherd’s tent. It has been pulled down and carried off. My life is like a piece of cloth that I’ve rolled up. You have cut it off from the loom. In a short period of time you have brought my life to an end.

My dwelling is plucked up and removed from me like a shepherd’s tent; like a weaver I have rolled up my life; he cuts me off from the loom; from day to night you bring me to an end;

My life has been blown away like a shepherd’s tent in a storm. It has been cut short, as when a weaver cuts cloth from a loom. Suddenly, my life was over.

你要把天地像外套一樣捲起來，天地就像衣服一樣被更換；只有你永不改變，你的年數也沒有窮盡。”

因為我終日受傷害，每天早晨受懲罰。

我們知道，如果我們在地上的帳棚拆毀了，我們必得著從神而來的居所。那不是人手所造的，而是天上永存的房屋。

雖有作領袖的坐著毀謗我，你的僕人卻默想你的律例。

願他樂意把我壓碎，願他放手把我剪除。

他生長如花，又遭割下；他飛去如影，並不停留。

趁著我還在世上（“在世上”原文作“在這帳棚”）的時候，我認為應當提醒你們，使你們常常警醒，因為我知道我離世（“離世”原文作“離開這帳棚”）的時候快到了，正如我們的主耶穌基督清楚指示我的。

我們這些在帳棚裡面的人，勞苦歎息，是由於不願意脫去這個，卻願意穿上那個，使這必死的被生命吞滅。

我的年日好像日影偏斜，我也好像草一般枯乾。

至於我，我曾在驚恐中說：“我從你眼前被隔絕”；可是我向你呼求的時候，你還是垂聽了我懇求的聲音。

那地必永遠沒有居民，世世代代無人居住；阿拉伯人不在那裡搭帳幕；牧羊人也不領羊群躺臥在那裡。

其實明天怎樣，你們並不知道。你們的生命是甚麼呢？你們本來是過眼雲煙，轉瞬之間就消逝了。

照樣，我有空虛的歲月，也有勞苦的黑夜為我派定。我躺下的時候，就說：‘我甚麼時候起來？’然而，長夜漫漫，我輾轉反側，直到黎明。我的肉體以蟲子和土塊為衣裳，我的皮膚裂開又流膿。我過的日子比梭還要快，在毫無盼望之中而結束。求你記念我的性命不過是一口氣，我的眼必不再看見福樂。

耶和華在我壯年的時候，使我的力量衰弱，縮短我的年日。所以我說：“我的神啊！求你不要使我中年去世，你的年數萬代無疆。

僅存的錫安居民（“居民”原文作“女子”），好像葡萄園中的草棚，瓜田裡的茅屋，被圍困的城鎮。

在早晚之間他們就被毀滅，永歸沉淪，無人懷念。

“我的氣息將斷，我的日子快盡，墳墓已為我預備好了。

你減少了他青春的日子，使他披上恥辱。（細拉）耶和華啊！這要到幾時呢？你要永遠隱藏自己嗎？你的烈怒像火一般焚燒，要到幾時呢？求你記念我的一生多麼短暫，你創造的世人是多麼虛幻呢！

我的日子過得比信差還快，飛快逝去，不見福樂。我的日子消逝有如快船，好像俯衝猛撲食物的鷹。
