Then the angel of the Lord went out and put to death a hundred and eighty- five thousand in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning— there were all the dead bodies!

Then the angel of the Lord went into the camp of the Assyrians. He put to death 185,000 soldiers there. The people of Jerusalem got up the next morning. They looked out and saw all the dead bodies.

And the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

That night the angel of the Lord went out to the Assyrian camp and killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. When the surviving Assyrians woke up the next morning, they found corpses everywhere.

Then the angel of the LORD went out and struck down one hundred eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. When the people got up the next morning, there were all the dead bodies!

Then the angel of the Lord went out and struck 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians; and when the rest got up early in the morning, behold, all of the 185,000 were dead.

Then the angel of the Lord went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses— all dead.

是夜、主之使者出、在亞述營殺十八萬五千人、蚤起視之、惟屍而已、

主曰、迨我在郇山、在耶路撒冷畢我之事、則必懲罰亞述王心之驕傲、及其目之仰視、

天使向耶路撒冷舉手、以滅其居民、以滅其居民原文作以滅之主悔降此災、或作主心回意轉不欲復降此災遂諭滅民之使者曰、今足矣、可止爾手、其時主之使者在耶布斯人亞勞拿之禾場、

亞述將遭殞滅、非以人之刀、將被殺戮、非以人之劍、必因此刀劍遁逃、彼之丁壯、俱必消亡、俱必消亡或作必服他邦而納貢

主遣天使至亞述王之營、滅諸壯士軍長將帥、亞述王蒙恥而歸故土、入其神入廟、其親生之子、弒之以刃、如是、主救希西家及耶路撒冷居民、脫於亞述王西拿基立之手、及諸敵之手、且在四周祐之、

大主宰萬有之主、赫赫施威、折其巨枝、雄幹見伐、使高者降為卑、以鐵斬其稠密之林木、利巴嫩之樹、為力大者所伐、

萬族喧囂、列邦震動、主發雷聲、地即消滅、萬有之主保祐我儕、雅各之天主護庇我儕、細拉、爾曹皆來觀主所行之事、視主在地上如何行刑、至地之極、止息戰爭、折弓斷槍、以火焚燬車輛、爾當休息、當知惟我為天主、列邦必敬崇我、全地必敬崇我、萬有之主保祐我儕、雅各之天主護庇我儕、細拉、

故大主宰萬有之主、必使其肥壯之人、變為瘦瘠、使其榮華中、如有烈火焚燬、光照以色列之聖主、將如火如炎、或作光照以色列之主將如火以色列至聖之主將如炎一日間、必燬其軍眾、若焚荊棘與疾藜、其軍旅雖如榮茂之樹林園囿、主必使之身心消滅、勢如病者漸衰、其軍惟餘數人、如林之餘木無幾、小子可核而書之、

主將使人聞其威聲、赫赫震怒、以猛火之烈焰、與暴風急雨大雹、顯其臂之能力、亞述必因主之雷聲喪膽、主必以杖加之譴責、主命定以杖責亞述、每一加責、民必擊鼓彈琴、主攻擊亞述、勢甚嚴厲、蓋陀斐特自昔已設、亦為王而備、既深且廣、燒場有火、薪柴甚多、主之氣如川流之硫磺燃焉、

法老與其群臣並伊及眾民、皆夜起、伊及遍地、有大號哭聲、蓋無家不有死亡者、

其興也、或作畢生興盛俄頃即逝、滅亡入墓、與眾無異、如成熟之穀穗被刈、

主巡行擊伊及人之時、見血於門楣、及左右門柱、必逾越其門、不容勦滅者入爾室以擊爾、

願其如糠秕吹於風前、願主之使者驅逐之、願其道路又暗又滑、願主之使者追迫之、

膽壯者皆被褫奪、長眠不起、英勇之士、亦皆措手不及、雅各之天主大聲叱咤、車馬即皆傾倒、主是可畏、主震怒時、誰能立於主前、

大衛舉目見主之使者、立於天地間、拔刀於手、指耶路撒冷、遂與諸長老皆衣麻衣、面伏於地、

蓋爾曹詳知主日將至、如盜之乘夜而來、人適平康安泰之時、而禍突臨、如產難臨於妊婦、必不得免、

或饑饉三年、或敗於敵前、被敵以刀追殺三月、或主之刀即疫癘、流行爾國中、主之使者於以色列遍地、滅民三日、此三者、爾何擇、今爾思之、明以告我、俾我歸而覆命於遣我者、

主曰、今我奮興、顯為崇高、顯為至上、爾如懷孕、所孕者秕糠、所產者草芥、爾氣如火、將爾焚燬、列民見焚、如焚石為灰、亦如已刈之荊棘、為火所焚、○

希律不歸榮於天主、故主之使者、立擊之、為蟲所噬而氣絕、○
