Then the angel of the Lord went out and put to death a hundred and eighty- five thousand in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning— there were all the dead bodies!

Then the angel of the Lord went into the camp of the Assyrians. He put to death 185,000 soldiers there. The people of Jerusalem got up the next morning. They looked out and saw all the dead bodies.

And the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

That night the angel of the Lord went out to the Assyrian camp and killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. When the surviving Assyrians woke up the next morning, they found corpses everywhere.

Then the angel of the LORD went out and struck down one hundred eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. When the people got up the next morning, there were all the dead bodies!

當夜，耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中殺了十八萬五千人。清早有人起來，一看，都是死屍了。

主在錫安山和耶路撒冷成就他一切工作的時候，主說：「我必罰亞述王自大的心和他高傲眼目的榮耀。」

天使向耶路撒冷伸手要滅城的時候，耶和華後悔，就不降這災了，吩咐滅民的天使說：「夠了！住手吧！」那時耶和華的使者在耶布斯人亞勞拿的禾場那裏。

亞述人必倒在刀下，並非人的刀；有刀要將他吞滅，並非人的刀。他必逃避這刀；他的少年人必成為服苦的。

耶和華就差遣一個使者進入亞述王營中，把所有大能的勇士和官長、將帥盡都滅了。亞述王滿面含羞地回到本國，進了他神的廟中，有他親生的兒子在那裏用刀殺了他。這樣，耶和華救希西家和耶路撒冷的居民脫離亞述王西拿基立的手，也脫離一切仇敵的手，又賜他們四境平安。

看哪，主－萬軍之耶和華以驚嚇削去樹枝；長高的必被砍下，高大的必被伐倒。稠密的樹林，他要用鐵器砍下；黎巴嫩的樹木必被大能者伐倒。

外邦喧嚷，列國動搖；神發聲，地便鎔化。萬軍之耶和華與我們同在；雅各的神是我們的避難所！（細拉）你們來看耶和華的作為，看他使地怎樣荒涼。他止息刀兵，直到地極；他折弓、斷槍，把戰車焚燒在火中。你們要休息，要知道我是神！我必在外邦中被尊崇，在遍地上也被尊崇。萬軍之耶和華與我們同在；雅各的神是我們的避難所！

因此，主－萬軍之耶和華必使亞述王的肥壯人變為瘦弱，在他的榮華之下必有火着起，如同焚燒一樣。以色列的光必如火；他的聖者必如火焰。在一日之間，將亞述王的荊棘和蒺藜焚燒淨盡；又將他樹林和肥田的榮耀全然燒盡，好像拿軍旗的昏過去一樣。他林中剩下的樹必稀少，就是孩子也能寫其數。

耶和華必使人聽他威嚴的聲音，又顯他降罰的膀臂和他怒中的忿恨，並吞滅的火焰與霹雷、暴風、冰雹。亞述人必因耶和華的聲音驚惶；耶和華必用杖擊打他。耶和華必將命定的杖加在他身上；每打一下，人必擊鼓彈琴。打仗的時候，耶和華必掄起手來，與他交戰。原來陀斐特又深又寬，早已為王預備好了；其中堆的是火與許多木柴。耶和華的氣如一股硫磺火使他着起來。

法老和一切臣僕，並埃及眾人，夜間都起來了。在埃及有大哀號，無一家不死一個人的。

他們被高舉，不過片時就沒有了；他們降為卑，被除滅，與眾人一樣，又如穀穗被割。

因為耶和華要巡行擊殺埃及人，他看見血在門楣上和左右的門框上，就必越過那門，不容滅命的進你們的房屋，擊殺你們。

願他們像風前的糠，有耶和華的使者趕逐他們。願他們的道路又暗又滑，有耶和華的使者追趕他們。

心中勇敢的人都被搶奪；他們睡了長覺，沒有一個英雄能措手。雅各的神啊，你的斥責一發，坐車的、騎馬的都沉睡了。惟獨你是可畏的！你怒氣一發，誰能在你面前站得住呢？

惡人誇勝是暫時的，不敬虔人的喜樂不過轉眼之間嗎？他的尊榮雖達到天上，頭雖頂到雲中，他終必滅亡，像自己的糞一樣；素來見他的人要說：他在哪裏呢？

大衛舉目，看見耶和華的使者站在天地間，手裏有拔出來的刀，伸在耶路撒冷以上。大衛和長老都身穿麻衣，面伏於地。

因為你們自己明明曉得，主的日子來到，好像夜間的賊一樣。人正說「平安穩妥」的時候，災禍忽然臨到他們，如同產難臨到懷胎的婦人一樣，他們絕不能逃脫。

或三年的饑荒；或敗在你敵人面前，被敵人的刀追殺三個月；或在你國中有耶和華的刀，就是三日的瘟疫，耶和華的使者在以色列的四境施行毀滅。』現在你要想一想，我好回覆那差我來的。」

耶和華說：現在我要起來；我要興起；我要勃然而興。你們要懷的是糠粃，要生的是碎稭；你們的氣就是吞滅自己的火。列邦必像已燒的石灰，像已割的荊棘在火中焚燒。

希律不歸榮耀給神，所以主的使者立刻罰他，他被蟲所咬，氣就絕了。
