Then the angel of the Lord went out and put to death a hundred and eighty- five thousand in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning— there were all the dead bodies!

Then the angel of the Lord went into the camp of the Assyrians. He put to death 185,000 soldiers there. The people of Jerusalem got up the next morning. They looked out and saw all the dead bodies.

And the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

That night the angel of the Lord went out to the Assyrian camp and killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. When the surviving Assyrians woke up the next morning, they found corpses everywhere.

列邦喧闹，列国动摇；神发出声音，大地就消融。万军之耶和华与我们同在，雅各的神是我们的庇护所。细拉你们当来，观察耶和华的作为！他使大地成为废墟；他使战争止息，直到地极；他打断弓、砍断矛，用烈火烧掉战车。“平息吧，当明白我是神！我必在列国中受尊崇，必在全地受尊崇。”万军之耶和华与我们同在，雅各的神是我们的庇护所。细拉

因此，主万军之耶和华必使衰败临到亚述王肥壮的勇士；在亚述王的荣耀之下，必有火燃起，如同烈火燃烧。以色列的光必成为火，他的圣者必成为烈焰，一日之内就把亚述王的荆棘和蒺藜焚烧吞没；亚述王树林和果园的荣美必全然灭绝，好像病重的人消逝那样。林中所残余的树，少得连孩子也能记下来。

耶和华必使人听见他威严的声音，又以猛烈的怒气、吞噬的火焰、暴雨、狂风和石头般的冰雹，使人看见他抡下来的膀臂。亚述人必因耶和华的声音而丧胆，耶和华必用杖击打他们；耶和华施刑的杖每打他们一下，人都会击鼓和弹琴；打仗的时候，耶和华必挥手与他们争战。原来，那焚烧场早已安排好了，是为君王所预备的；它又深又宽，其中充满了火和许多木柴；耶和华的气息如同一股硫磺火使它燃烧起来。

愿他们如同风前的糠秕，有耶和华的使者驱赶他们。愿他们的道路又暗又滑，有耶和华的使者追赶他们；

心强胆壮的人都被掳夺，长眠不醒；所有大能的勇士都手足无措。雅各的神哪，因你的斥责，驾战车的和战马都沉睡了！唯独你是可畏的！你的怒气一旦发作，谁能在你面前站立得住呢？

因为你们自己明确地知道，主的日子来临，就像夜里的贼来临那样。当人们正说“和平”、“安全”的时候，毁灭那时就突然临到他们，就像孕妇的临产阵痛那样，他们绝不能逃脱。

耶和华说：“现在我要起来，现在我要被高举，现在我要受尊崇。你们所怀的是干草，所生的是麦秸；你们的鼻息是吞噬自己的火。众民必被烧成灰烬，好像砍下的荆棘在火中烧掉。

主的一位天使立刻击打希律，因为他没有把荣耀归给神。他被虫咬蚀，就断了气。
