因爾狂妄驕奢、升聞於上、故必置圈於爾鼻、置勒於爾口、使爾仍由其途而返。

因爾之怒號向我、又聞爾驕傲之聲、故必穿環於爾鼻、置勒於爾口、使爾由來道而返、

Because you rage against me and because your insolence has reached my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will make you return by the way you came.

You roar against me and brag. And I have heard your bragging. So I will put my hook in your nose. I will put my bit in your mouth. And I will make you go home by the same way you came.’ ” ’ ”

Because you have raged against me and your complacency has come to my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will turn you back on the way by which you came.’

他的氣息如漲溢的河水，直漲到頸項，要用毀滅的篩網篩淨列國，並在眾民口中安放導錯方向的嚼環。

我要把你掉轉過來，用鈎子鈎住你的腮頰，把你和你的軍兵、馬匹、騎兵都帶走。他們全都披掛整齊，成為大軍，佩帶大小盾牌，各人拿着刀劍；

他從哪條路來，必從那條路回去，必不得來到這城。這是耶和華說的。

我必用鈎子鈎住你的腮頰，令江河中的魚貼住你的鱗甲；我要把你和所有貼着鱗甲的魚從你的江河中拉上來。

主在錫安山和耶路撒冷成就他一切工作的時候，說：「我必懲罰亞述王自大的心和他高傲尊貴的眼目。」

主耶和華指着自己的神聖起誓說：『看哪，日子將到，人必用鈎子將你們鈎去，用魚鈎把你們中最後一個鈎去。

不要忘記你敵人的喧鬧，就是那時常上升、起來對抗你之人的喧嘩。

彼拉多見說也無濟於事，反要生亂，就拿水在眾人面前洗手，說：「流這人的血，罪不在我，你們承當吧。」

你們籌劃何種計謀攻擊耶和華呢？他必終結一切，仇敵不會再度興起。你們像雜亂的荊棘，像喝醉了的人，又如枯乾的碎稭，全然燒滅。有一人從你那裏出來，圖謀邪惡，設惡計攻擊耶和華。

他就仆倒在地，聽見有聲音對他說：「掃羅！掃羅！你為甚麼迫害我？」

因他伸手攻擊神，逞強對抗全能者，挺着頸項，用盾牌堅厚的凸面向全能者直闖；

「你們要對猶大王希西家如此說：『不要聽你所倚靠的神欺哄你說：耶路撒冷必不交在亞述王的手中。

我若沒有來教導他們，他們就沒有罪；但如今他們的罪無可推諉了。恨我的也恨我的父。

將軍對他們說：「你們去告訴希西家，大王亞述王如此說：『你倚賴甚麼，讓你如此自信滿滿？

『你坐下，你出去，你進來，你向我發烈怒，我都知道。因你向我發烈怒，你的狂傲上達我耳中，我要用鈎子鈎住你的鼻子，將嚼環放在你口裏，使你從原路轉回去。』

現在我上來攻擊毀滅這地，豈不是出於耶和華嗎？耶和華吩咐我說，你上去攻擊這地，毀滅它吧！』」

你能用繩索穿牠的鼻子嗎？能用鈎子穿牠的腮骨嗎？

耶和華啊，大水揚起，大水發聲，大水澎湃。耶和華在高處大有威力，勝過諸水的響聲，洋海的大浪。

你不可像那無知的騾馬，須用嚼環韁繩勒住，不然，牠就不會靠近你。

萬邦喧嚷，國度動搖；神出聲，地就熔化。

眾人聽他說到這句話，就高聲說：「這樣的人，從地上除掉他吧！他是該死的。」

因為你的仇敵喧嚷，恨你的抬起頭來。

列國為甚麼爭鬧？萬民為甚麼圖謀虛妄？世上的君王都站穩，臣宰一同算計，要對抗耶和華，對抗他的受膏者：「我們要掙脫他們的捆綁，脫去他們的繩索。」

你的敵人在你會中吼叫，他們豎起自己的標幟為記號，
