因為你對我發怒，你的驕奢安逸上達我的耳中，所以我要把鉤子放進你的鼻孔，把嚼環放入你的嘴裡，我必使你從原路返回。

因爾向我暴怒、及爾狂傲之聲、達於我耳、我必置鈎於爾鼻、置勒於爾口、使循原途而返、

因爾狂妄驕奢、升聞於上、故必置圈於爾鼻、置勒於爾口、使爾仍由其途而返。

因爾之怒號向我、又聞爾驕傲之聲、故必穿環於爾鼻、置勒於爾口、使爾由來道而返、

Because you rage against me and because your insolence has reached my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will make you return by the way you came.

You roar against me and brag. And I have heard your bragging. So I will put my hook in your nose. I will put my bit in your mouth. And I will make you go home by the same way you came.’ ” ’ ”

Because you have raged against me and your complacency has come to my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will turn you back on the way by which you came.’

And because of your raging against me and your arrogance, which I have heard for myself, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth. I will make you return by the same road on which you came.”

祂的氣息像淹到人頸項的洪流。祂必像篩子一樣篩列國，毀滅他們，並把嚼環放在列邦口中，引他們走上歧途。

我要把你調轉過來，用鉤子鉤住你的腮，把你和你那些全副武裝、拿著大小盾牌、揮動刀劍的軍隊、馬匹和騎兵都拖出來。

他必原路返回，不得進入這城。這是耶和華說的。

但我要鉤住你的腮，使河中的魚貼在你的鱗甲上，把你連同貼在你鱗甲上的魚一起從河中拉上來，

主完成在錫安山和耶路撒冷要做的事後，必懲罰心裡狂妄、眼目高傲的亞述王。

因此，主耶和華憑祂的聖潔起誓：「時候快到了，有人要用魚鉤鉤走你們，一個也不留。

不要對你仇敵的喧嚷置之不理，與你為敵的人不停地叫囂。

彼拉多見再說也無濟於事，反而會引起騷亂，於是拿了一盆水來，在眾人面前洗手，說：「流這義人的血，罪不在我，你們自己負責。」

尼尼微人啊，你們為何圖謀抵擋耶和華？祂要徹底毀滅你們，無需擊打兩次。你們像糾結的荊棘，又像酩酊大醉的人，要如乾稭被火燒盡。你們當中有一個人，一個邪惡的陰謀者，圖謀抵擋耶和華。

他倒在地上，聽見有聲音對他說：「掃羅！掃羅！你為什麼迫害我？」

因為他揮拳對抗上帝，藐視全能者，拿著堅盾傲慢地挑戰祂。

「不要讓你所倚靠的上帝愚弄你，說什麼耶路撒冷必不會落在亞述王手中。

我如果沒有來教導他們，他們就沒有罪了，但現在他們的罪無可推諉。恨我的，也恨我的父。

亞述的將軍對他們說：「你們去告訴希西迦，偉大的亞述王說，『你憑什麼這樣自信呢？

「『你起你坐，你出你進，你向我發怒，我都知道。因為你向我發怒，你狂傲的話達到了我耳中，我要用鉤子鉤住你的鼻子，把嚼環放在你嘴裡，使你原路返回。』

更何況我來攻打、毀滅這地方不正是耶和華的意思嗎？耶和華吩咐我攻打、毀滅這地方。」

你豈能用繩子穿牠的鼻子，用鉤子穿牠的腮骨？

耶和華啊，大海澎湃怒吼，波浪滔天。高天之上的耶和華充滿力量，超過咆哮的洪水和怒吼的大海。

不要像無知的騾馬，不用嚼環轡頭就不馴服。」

列邦動盪，列國傾覆。上帝的聲音使大地熔化。

眾人一聽到這裡，就高喊：「從世上除掉這樣的人！他不配活著！」

看啊，你的敵人在喧嚷，恨你的人趾高氣揚。

列國為何咆哮？萬民為何枉費心機？世上的君王一同行動，官長聚集商議，要抵擋耶和華和祂所膏立的王。他們說：「讓我們掙斷他們的鎖鏈，脫去他們的捆索！」

他們在你聖所中高聲叫嚷，豎立起自己的旗幟。
