但拉伯沙基說：“我主差派我來，只是對你和你的主說這些話嗎？不也是對那些坐在城牆上，要和你們一同吃自己的糞、喝自己的尿的人說嗎？”

拉伯沙基说：“我主差遣我来，岂是单对你和你的主说这些话吗？不也是对这些坐在城上、要与你们一同吃自己粪喝自己尿的人说吗？”

将军说：“我主差遣我来，岂是单对你和你的主人说这些话吗？不也是对这些坐在城墙上，要与你们一同吃自己粪、喝自己尿的人说的吗？”

将军说：“我主差遣我来，岂是单对你和你的主人说这些话吗？不也是对这些坐在城墙上，要与你们一同吃自己粪、喝自己尿的人说的吗？”

亚述的将军却说：“难道我主派我来只对希西迦和你们说这些话吗？不也是对城墙上的人说吗？他们和你们一样都要吃自己的粪，喝自己的尿。”

但拉伯沙基说：“我主差派我来，只是对你和你的主说这些话吗？不也是对那些坐在城墙上，要和你们一同吃自己的粪、喝自己的尿的人说吗？”

将军却说：“难道我的主人派我来，只对你和你的主人说这些话吗？不也对那些坐在城墙上，将与你们一同吃自己粪、喝自己尿的人说话吗？”

拉伯沙基說：「我主差遣我來，豈是單對你和你的主說這些話嗎？不也是對這些坐在城上、要與你們一同吃自己糞喝自己尿的人說嗎？」

將軍說：「我主差遣我來，豈是單對你和你的主人說這些話嗎？不也是對這些坐在城牆上，要與你們一同吃自己糞、喝自己尿的人說的嗎？」

將軍說：「我主差遣我來，豈是單對你和你的主人說這些話嗎？不也是對這些坐在城牆上，要與你們一同吃自己糞、喝自己尿的人說的嗎？」

亞述的將軍卻說：「難道我主派我來只對希西迦和你們說這些話嗎？不也是對城牆上的人說嗎？他們和你們一樣都要吃自己的糞，喝自己的尿。」

參謀長對他們說：『我主上差遣我來說這些話，豈是單單對你主上和你說的呢？不也是對這些坐在城上、要和你們一同喫自己糞喝自己尿的人說的麼？』

將軍卻說：「難道我的主人派我來，只對你和你的主人說這些話嗎？不也對那些坐在城牆上，將與你們一同吃自己糞、喝自己尿的人說話嗎？」

拉伯沙基曰、我主遣我、豈以此言僅告爾主及爾乎、非亦告坐於城上、將同爾食己矢、飲己溺之人乎、

臘沙基曰、我主遣我、不第與爾、及爾主言也、亦使我與城上之民言、使彼及爾、自啖其遺溺、

拉伯沙基曰、我主王遣我、豈使我以此言僅告爾主王與爾乎、非使我告坐於城上之民、將偕爾食己糞飲己溺者乎、

But the commander replied,“ Was it only to your master and you that my master sent me to say these things, and not to the people sitting on the wall— who, like you, will have to eat their own excrement and drink their own urine?”

But the commander replied,“ My master sent me to say these things. Are these words only for your master and you to hear? Aren’t they also for the people sitting on the wall? They are going to suffer just like you. They’ll have to eat their own waste. They’ll have to drink their own urine.”

But the Rabshakeh said,“ Has my master sent me to speak these words to your master and to you, and not to the men sitting on the wall, who are doomed with you to eat their own dung and drink their own urine?”

But Sennacherib’s chief of staff replied,“ Do you think my master sent this message only to you and your master? He wants all the people to hear it, for when we put this city under siege, they will suffer along with you. They will be so hungry and thirsty that they will eat their own dung and drink their own urine.”

But the royal spokesman replied,“ Has my master sent me to speak these words to your master and to you, and not to the men who are sitting on the wall, who are destined with you to eat their own excrement and drink their own urine?”

But Rabshakeh said,“ Has my master sent me only to your master and to you to speak these words, and not to the men who sit on the wall, doomed to eat their own dung and drink their own urine with you?”

But the Rabshakeh said,“ Has my master sent me to your master and to you to speak these words, and not to the men who sit on the wall, who will eat and drink their own waste with you?”

But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, to eat their own dung, and to drink their own water with you?

But the Rabshakeh replied,“ Has my master sent me to speak these words to your master and to you, and not to the men who are sitting on the wall, who are destined with you to eat their own excrement and drink their own urine?”

But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words?[ hath he] not[ sent me] to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?

But the chief adviser said,“ My master did not send me to speak these words only to your master and to you. His message is also for the men who sit on the wall, for they will eat their own excrement and drink their own urine along with you!”

But Rabshakeh said,“ Has my master sent me only to your master and to you, to speak these words, and not to the men who sit on the wall, who will eat their own dung and drink their own urine with you?”

拉伯沙基對他們說：“我主派我來，只是對你的主和你說這些話嗎？不也是對坐在城牆上，和你們在一起吃自己的糞、喝自己的尿的人民說的嗎？”

有人在右邊切肉，仍然飢餓；在左邊吞吃，仍然不飽足；各人竟吃自己手臂的肉。

你在仇敵圍困和窘迫你的時候，要吃你身所生的，就是吃耶和華你的神賜給你的兒女的肉。你們中間溫柔嫩弱的男人，必敵視自己的兄弟、懷中的妻子和餘剩的兒女；甚至在你的仇敵圍困和窘迫你在各城裡的時候，他要吃自己兒女的肉，卻不肯分給他們任何人，因為他沒有甚麼剩下的。你們中間溫柔嬌嫩的婦人，素來因為溫柔嬌嫩不肯把腳掌踏在地上，現在必敵視自己懷中的丈夫和自己的兒女。她暗中把自己兩腿之間出來的胞衣，和自己生的兒女吃掉，因為在你的仇敵圍困和窘迫你在各城裡的時候，她甚麼都沒有了。

那些死於刀下的比餓死的還好；餓死的因缺乏田間的出產，就日漸消瘦而死亡。慈心的婦人親手烹煮自己所生的孩子；在我眾民（“我眾民”原文作“我子民的女子”）遭毀滅的時候，孩子竟成了母親的食物。

他又對我說：“人子啊，我要斷絕耶路撒冷的糧食。他們要滿心憂慮，吃配給的口糧；十分驚惶，喝配給的水。

於是撒瑪利亞發生了極大的饑荒，敵軍繼續包圍，以致一個驢頭要賣九百克銀子，兩百克的鴿子糞也值六十克銀子。以色列王在城牆上經過時，有一個婦人向他呼求說：“我主我王啊，救救我！”他說：“如果耶和華不救你，我又從哪裡救你？是從打穀場，或是從榨酒池呢？”王對她說：“到底有甚麼事呢？”她說：“這婦人對我說：‘把你的兒子交出來，今日我們好把他吃了；明天我們可以吃我的兒子。’於是我們把我的兒子煮了，把他吃了。第二日，我對她說：‘把你的兒子交出來，我們好把他吃了。’她卻把她的兒子收藏起來。”

你們要吃自己兒子的肉，女兒的肉也要吃。

在他們被圍困和受壓迫之中，就是在仇敵和尋索他們性命的人壓迫他們的時候，我必使他們吞吃自己的兒女的肉，各人也彼此吃對方的肉。’
