Then the lame will leap like a deer, the mute tongue will shout for joy; for water will flow in the desert, streams in the wilderness.

Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.

Those who can’t walk will leap like a deer. And those who can’t speak will shout for joy. Water will pour out in dry places. Streams will flow in the desert.

then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy. For waters break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert;

The lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will sing for joy! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the wasteland.

Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing for joy, for water will gush in the wilderness, and streams in the desert;

Then those who limp will leap like a deer, And the tongue of those who cannot speak will shout for joy. For waters will burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert.

Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert.

Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing; for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing for joy, for water will gush in the wilderness, and streams in the desert;

Jesus said to him,“ Stand up! Pick up your mat and walk.”Immediately the man was healed, and he picked up his mat and started walking.( Now that day was a Sabbath.)

Now he was casting out a demon that was mute. When the demon had gone out, the man who had been mute began to speak, and the crowds were amazed.

The mind that acts rashly will possess discernment and the tongue that stutters will speak with ease and clarity.

As they were going away, a man who could not talk and was demon- possessed was brought to him.After the demon was cast out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowds were amazed and said,“ Never has anything like this been seen in Israel!”

Then they brought to him a demon- possessed man who was blind and mute. Jesus healed him so that he could speak and see.

I will be standing before you there on the rock in Horeb, and you will strike the rock, and water will come out of it so that the people may drink.” And Moses did so in plain view of the elders of Israel.

You provided bread from heaven for them in their time of hunger, and you brought forth water from the rock for them in their time of thirst. You told them to enter in order to possess the land that you had sworn to give them.

Then Moses raised his hand, and struck the rock twice with his staff. And water came out abundantly. So the community drank, and their beasts drank too.

The oppressed and the poor look for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched from thirst. I, the LORD, will respond to their prayers; I, the God of Israel, will not abandon them.I will make streams flow down the slopes and produce springs in the middle of the valleys. I will turn the desert into a pool of water and the arid land into springs.

“ Look, I am about to do something new. Now it begins to happen! Do you not recognize it? Yes, I will make a road in the desert and paths in the wilderness.The wild animals of the desert honor me, the jackals and ostriches, because I put water in the desert and streams in the wilderness, to quench the thirst of my chosen people,

The blind and lame came to him in the temple courts, and he healed them.

They brought to him a deaf man who had difficulty speaking, and they asked him to place his hands on him.After Jesus took him aside privately, away from the crowd, he put his fingers in the man’s ears, and after spitting, he touched his tongue.Then he looked up to heaven and said with a sigh,“ Ephphatha”( that is,“ Be opened”).And immediately the man’s ears were opened, his tongue loosened, and he spoke plainly.Jesus ordered them not to tell anything. But as much as he ordered them not to do this, they proclaimed it all the more.People were completely astounded and said,“ He has done everything well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

And the Spirit and the bride say,“ Come!” And let the one who hears say:“ Come!” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wants it take the water of life free of charge.

And a man lame from birth was being carried up, who was placed at the temple gate called“ the Beautiful Gate” every day so he could beg for money from those going into the temple courts.

Then large crowds came to him bringing with them the lame, blind, crippled, mute, and many others. They laid them at his feet, and he healed them.As a result, the crowd was amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled healthy, the lame walking, and the blind seeing, and they praised the God of Israel.

O Lord, give me the words! Then my mouth will praise you.

Immediately Zechariah’s mouth was opened and his tongue released, and he spoke, blessing God.

Let the desert and dry region be happy; let the wilderness rejoice and bloom like a lily!

He broke open rocks in the wilderness, and gave them enough water to fill the depths of the sea.He caused streams to flow from the rock, and made the water flow like rivers.

Then he brought me back to the entrance of the temple. I noticed that water was flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east( for the temple faced east). The water was flowing down from under the right side of the temple, from south of the altar.He led me out by way of the north gate and brought me around the outside of the outer gate that faces toward the east; I noticed that the water was trickling out from the south side.When the man went out toward the east with a measuring line in his hand, he measured 1, 750 feet, and then he led me through water, which was ankle deep.Again he measured 1, 750 feet and led me through the water, which was now knee deep. Once more he measured 1, 750 feet and led me through the water, which was waist deep.Again he measured 1, 750 feet and it was a river I could not cross, for the water had risen; it was deep enough to swim in, a river that could not be crossed.He said to me,“ Son of man, have you seen this?” Then he led me back to the bank of the river.When I had returned, I noticed a vast number of trees on the banks of the river, on both sides.He said to me,“ These waters go out toward the eastern region and flow down into the Arabah; when they enter the Dead Sea, where the sea is stagnant, the waters become fresh.Every living creature which swarms where the river flows will live; there will be many fish, for these waters flow there. It will become fresh and everything will live where the river flows.Fishermen will stand beside it; from Engedi to En-eglaim they will spread nets. They will catch many kinds of fish, like the fish of the Great Sea.But its swamps and its marshes will not become fresh; they will remain salty.

But Peter said,“ I have no silver or gold, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, stand up and walk!”Then Peter took hold of him by the right hand and raised him up, and at once the man’s feet and ankles were made strong.He jumped up, stood and began walking around, and he entered the temple courts with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

They do not thirst as he leads them through dry regions; he makes water flow out of a rock for them; he splits open a rock and water flows out.’

The river’s channels bring joy to the city of God, the special, holy dwelling place of the sovereign One.

In Lystra sat a man who could not use his feet, lame from birth, who had never walked.This man was listening to Paul as he was speaking. When Paul stared intently at him and saw he had faith to be healed,he said with a loud voice,“ Stand upright on your feet.” And the man leaped up and began walking.

They will not be hungry or thirsty; the sun’s oppressive heat will not beat down on them, for one who has compassion on them will guide them; he will lead them to springs of water.I will make all my mountains into a road; I will construct my roadways.”

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and exhorting one another with all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, all with grace in your hearts to God.

A member of the crowd said to him,“ Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that makes him mute.Whenever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to cast it out, but they were not able to do so.”He answered them,“ You unbelieving generation! How much longer must I be with you? How much longer must I endure you? Bring him to me.”So they brought the boy to him. When the spirit saw him, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell on the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.Jesus asked his father,“ How long has this been happening to him?” And he said,“ From childhood.It has often thrown him into fire or water to destroy him. But if you are able to do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”Then Jesus said to him,“‘ If you are able?’ All things are possible for the one who believes.”Immediately the father of the boy cried out and said,“ I believe; help my unbelief!”Now when Jesus saw that a crowd was quickly gathering, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it,“ Mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.”

On the last day of the feast, the greatest day, Jesus stood up and shouted out,“ If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me, andlet the one who believes in me drink. Just as the scripture says,‘ From within him will flow rivers of living water.’”( Now he said this about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were going to receive, for the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.)

The blind see, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have good news proclaimed to them.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life– water as clear as crystal– pouring out from the throne of God and of the Lamb,

For unclean spirits, crying with loud shrieks, were coming out of many who were possessed, and many paralyzed and lame people were healed.

Moreover, on that day living waters will flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea; it will happen both in summer and in winter.
