This is the person who will live in a secure place; he will find safety in the rocky, mountain strongholds; he will have food and a constant supply of water.

若是之人、必得居高處、磐巖為其保障、食則其糧必得供給、飲則其水必不枯涸、

they are the ones who will dwell on the heights, whose refuge will be the mountain fortress. Their bread will be supplied, and water will not fail them.

People like that will be kept safe. It will be as if they were living on high mountains. It will be as if they were living in a mountain fort. They will have all the food they need. And they will never run out of water.”

these are the ones who will dwell on high. The rocks of the mountains will be their fortress. Food will be supplied to them, and they will have water in abundance.

My people will live in peaceful settlements, in secure homes, and in safe, quiet places.

Even young lions sometimes lack food and are hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

But the one who listens to me will live in security, and will be at ease from the dread of harm.

For you are a protector for the poor, a protector for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the rainstorm, a shade from the heat. Though the breath of tyrants is like a winter rainstorm,

He gives food to his faithful followers; he always remembers his covenant.

He gives me the agility of a deer; he enables me to negotiate the rugged terrain.

LORD, who may be a guest in your home? Who may live on your holy hill?

The name of the LORD is like a strong tower; the righteous person runs to it and is set safely on high.

Trust in the LORD and do what is right! Settle in the land and maintain your integrity!

The LORD says,“ Because he is devoted to me, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he is loyal to me.

As for you, the one who lives in the shelter of the sovereign One, and resides in the protective shadow of the mighty king–I say this about the LORD, my shelter and my stronghold, my God in whom I trust–he will certainly rescue you from the snare of the hunter and from the destructive plague.He will shelter you with his wings; you will find safety under his wings. His faithfulness is like a shield or a protective wall.You need not fear the terrors of the night, the arrow that flies by day,the plague that comes in the darkness, or the disease that comes at noon.Though a thousand may fall beside you, and a multitude on your right side, it will not reach you.Certainly you will see it with your very own eyes– you will see the wicked paid back.For you have taken refuge in the LORD, my shelter, the sovereign One.No harm will overtake you; no illness will come near your home.

Look, the LORD takes notice of his loyal followers, those who wait for him to demonstrate his faithfulness

O Lord, you have been our protector through all generations!

Yet he protected the needy from oppression, and cared for his families like a flock of sheep.

They will not be hungry or thirsty; the sun’s oppressive heat will not beat down on them, for one who has compassion on them will guide them; he will lead them to springs of water.

At that time this song will be sung in the land of Judah:“ We have a strong city! The LORD’s deliverance, like walls and a rampart, makes it secure.Open the gates so a righteous nation can enter– one that remains trustworthy.You keep completely safe the people who maintain their faith, for they trust in you.Trust in the LORD from this time forward, even in Yah, the LORD, an enduring protector!Indeed, the LORD knocks down those who live in a high place, he brings down an elevated town; he brings it down to the ground, he throws it down to the dust.
