因為愚頑人說話愚頑，心懷邪惡，行不敬虔的事，說錯謬的話攻擊耶和華，使飢餓的無食可吃，使口渴的無水可喝；

蓋愚魯者出言愚昧、心懷妄為、致行邪僻、謬言以逆耶和華、使飢者枵腹、渴者絕飲、

頑嚚者流、出於口則悖逆、藏於心則不軌、所行奸偽、所言誕妄、上逆耶和華、下使民饑渴、

蓋愚妄者必出愚妄之言、心藏惡念、事行奸邪、謗言逆主、使饑者不得所食、渴者不得所飲、

For fools speak folly, their hearts are bent on evil: They practice ungodliness and spread error concerning the Lord; the hungry they leave empty and from the thirsty they withhold water.

Foolish people say foolish things. Their minds are set on doing evil things. They don’t do what is right. They tell lies about the Lord. They don’t give hungry people any food. They don’t let thirsty people have any water.

For the fool speaks folly, and his heart is busy with iniquity, to practice ungodliness, to utter error concerning the Lord, to leave the craving of the hungry unsatisfied, and to deprive the thirsty of drink.

For fools speak foolishness and make evil plans. They practice ungodliness and spread false teachings about the Lord. They deprive the hungry of food and give no water to the thirsty.

For a fool speaks foolishness and his mind plots iniquity. He lives in a godless way and speaks falsely about the LORD. He leaves the hungry empty and deprives the thirsty of drink.

For a fool speaks nonsense, And his heart inclines toward wickedness: To practice ungodliness and to speak error against the Lord, To keep the hungry person unsatisfied And to withhold drink from the thirsty.

For the foolish person will speak foolishness, And his heart will work iniquity: To practice ungodliness, To utter error against the Lord, To keep the hungry unsatisfied, And he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise profaneness, and to utter error against Jehovah, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

For a fool speaks disgraceful things; his mind plans out sinful deeds. He commits godless deeds and says misleading things about the LORD; he gives the hungry nothing to satisfy their appetite and gives the thirsty nothing to drink.

For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice profanity, and to utter error against Yahweh, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

As the old saying goes,‘ From evildoers come evil deeds,’ so my hand will not touch you. (niv)

One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.People curse the one who hoards grain, but they pray God’s blessing on the one who is willing to sell. (niv)

What do you mean by crushing my people and grinding the faces of the poor?” declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty. (niv)

Therefore the Lord will take no pleasure in the young men, nor will he pity the fatherless and widows, for everyone is ungodly and wicked, every mouth speaks folly. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised. (niv)

Do you rulers indeed speak justly? Do you judge people with equity?No, in your heart you devise injustice, and your hands mete out violence on the earth. (niv)

There are those who move boundary stones; they pasture flocks they have stolen.They drive away the orphan’s donkey and take the widow’s ox in pledge.They thrust the needy from the path and force all the poor of the land into hiding.Like wild donkeys in the desert, the poor go about their labor of foraging food; the wasteland provides food for their children.They gather fodder in the fields and glean in the vineyards of the wicked.Lacking clothes, they spend the night naked; they have nothing to cover themselves in the cold.They are drenched by mountain rains and hug the rocks for lack of shelter.The fatherless child is snatched from the breast; the infant of the poor is seized for a debt.Lacking clothes, they go about naked; they carry the sheaves, but still go hungry.They crush olives among the terraces; they tread the winepresses, yet suffer thirst.The groans of the dying rise from the city, and the souls of the wounded cry out for help. But God charges no one with wrongdoing.“ There are those who rebel against the light, who do not know its ways or stay in its paths.When daylight is gone, the murderer rises up, kills the poor and needy, and in the night steals forth like a thief.The eye of the adulterer watches for dusk; he thinks,‘ No eye will see me,’ and he keeps his face concealed.In the dark, thieves break into houses, but by day they shut themselves in; they want nothing to do with the light. Woe to those who plan iniquity, to those who plot evil on their beds! At morning’s light they carry it out because it is in their power to do it.They covet fields and seize them, and houses, and take them. They defraud people of their homes, they rob them of their inheritance. (niv)

Can an Ethiopian change his skin or a leopard its spots? Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil. (niv)

A person’s own folly leads to their ruin, yet their heart rages against the Lord. (niv)

buying the poor with silver and the needy for a pair of sandals, selling even the sweepings with the wheat. (niv)

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (niv)

This is what the Lord says:“ For three sins of Israel, even for four, I will not relent. They sell the innocent for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals.They trample on the heads of the poor as on the dust of the ground and deny justice to the oppressed. Father and son use the same girl and so profane my holy name. (niv)

For out of the heart come evil thoughts— murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. (niv)

You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. (niv)

Then Peter said,“ Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.” (niv)

Then I said,“ Listen, you leaders of Jacob, you rulers of Israel. Should you not embrace justice,you who hate good and love evil; who tear the skin from my people and the flesh from their bones;who eat my people’s flesh, strip off their skin and break their bones in pieces; who chop them up like meat for the pan, like flesh for the pot?” (niv)

You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. (niv)

Their hearts are like an oven; they approach him with intrigue. Their passion smolders all night; in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.All of them are hot as an oven; they devour their rulers. All their kings fall, and none of them calls on me. (niv)

Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. (niv)
