Tremble, you complacent women; shudder, you daughters who feel secure! Strip off your fine clothes and wrap yourselves in rags.

So tremble, you contented women. Tremble with fear, you who feel so secure. Take off your fine clothes. Wrap yourselves in rags.

Tremble, you women who are at ease, shudder, you complacent ones; strip, and make yourselves bare, and tie sackcloth around your waist.

Tremble, you women of ease; throw off your complacency. Strip off your pretty clothes, and put on burlap to show your grief.

埃邑傾圮、希實本人號呼、喇巴眾女、俱衣衰絰、躑躅於藩籬間、不勝哭泣、蓋密君見攘、其祭司牧伯俱為俘囚。

眾隨之、有多婦哭而哀、耶穌顧之曰、耶路撒冷女乎、勿為我哭、當為己及子哭、日至、人必曰、未妊之婦、未產之胎、未哺之乳福矣、時、人將對山曰、壓我、對陵曰掩我、

除其馨香、蒙以不潔、去其彩紳、繫以縲絏、髠其卷髮、代以童首、褫其繡衣、束以麻布、毀其姿容、加以烙印。

我民見敗、我哭甚哀、雖有眷顧慰藉者、我弗受也。萬有之主耶和華、今在默示谷、降以大災、使民潰亂、遭敵人蹂躪、城垣傾圮、號呼之聲、徹於山岡。

爾處世、樂宴樂、縱淫佚、以快心志、猶牲牷肥腯、以待宰割、

耶和華有威可畏、勃然而興、地以震動、人必入於磐巖、匿於窟穴、以避其災。

恐我去其衣、若初生之日、置之曠野、地無勺水、口渴而死、

迦勒底國巴比倫都譬諸女主、失位而坐塗炭、喪其容儀、取磨磨粉、去爾帕、摳爾衣、跣爾足、涉彼溪流、必裸爾體、使爾懷羞、以洩我忿、孰能禦之。

先知曰、我必哀哭、解衣去履、我必號呼、若暴獸野犬、敵至猶大耶路撒冷門、其禍遍於我民、其傷不得醫痊、毋播言於迦特、毋哭泣於亞哥、惟在伯押拉、坐於塗炭、沙伯居民被虜、裸體抱愧而去、撒南人不出而輔翼、伯以泄人不為之哭泣、

斯後亞述王、伐埃及、古實、虜其旄倪、使之裸裎跣足、露其下體、以凌辱之。

故耶和華必遣敵攻爾、使爾饑渴、裸體匱乏、服役於敵、彼於鐵軛置於爾頸、迨爾滅亡。

殘賊猝至、民必衣麻、坐於塗炭、舉哀甚慘、若喪獨子。

耶和華有威可畏、勃然而興、地以震動、人必入於磐巖、匿於窟穴、以避其災。

爾當衣麻哀哭、蓋我怒正盛、莫能遏止。

在彼郇城、有罪惡狂妄之徒、見余降災、畏葸戰慄曰、我遇斯火、永遭炮烙、孰能當焉、
