惟主至明、或作主有智慧必降災禍、不反覆其言、必興起而懲罰惡族、懲罰輔助行惡之人、

Yet he too is wise and can bring disaster; he does not take back his words. He will rise up against that wicked nation, against those who help evildoers.

He too is wise. He can bring horrible trouble. He does what he says he’ll do. He’ll rise up against that evil nation. He’ll fight against those who help them.

And yet he is wise and brings disaster; he does not call back his words, but will arise against the house of the evildoers and against the helpers of those who work iniquity.

In his wisdom, the Lord will send great disaster; he will not change his mind. He will rise against the wicked and against their helpers.

But he also is wise and brings disaster. He does not go back on what he says; he will rise up against the house of the wicked and against the allies of evildoers.

For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom;but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness,but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,that no flesh should glory in His presence.

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

If a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid? If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it?

“ Therefore wait for Me,” says the Lord,“ Until the day I rise up for plunder; My determination is to gather the nations To My assembly of kingdoms, To pour on them My indignation, All my fierce anger; All the earth shall be devoured With the fire of My jealousy.

He has made the earth by His power, He has established the world by His wisdom, And has stretched out the heavens at His discretion.

To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.

to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.

“ Then all the inhabitants of Egypt Shall know that I am the Lord, Because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel.

Yet surely My words and My statutes, Which I commanded My servants the prophets, Did they not overtake your fathers?“ So they returned and said:‘ Just as the Lord of hosts determined to do to us, According to our ways and according to our deeds, So He has dealt with us.’”’”

Then it was revealed in my hearing by the Lord of hosts,“ Surely for this iniquity there will be no atonement for you, Even to your death,” says the Lord GOD of hosts.

For the foolish person will speak foolishness, And his heart will work iniquity: To practice ungodliness, To utter error against the Lord, To keep the hungry unsatisfied, And he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

so shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians as prisoners and the Ethiopians as captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.Then they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation and Egypt their glory.And the inhabitant of this territory will say in that day,‘ Surely such is our expectation, wherever we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria; and how shall we escape?’”

Then Jeremiah took another scroll and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah, who wrote on it at the instruction of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire. And besides, there were added to them many similar words.

“ For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the Lord;“ I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times.

Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, Like a mighty man who shouts because of wine.And He beat back His enemies; He put them to a perpetual reproach.

Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all the good things have come upon you which the Lord your God promised you, so the Lord will bring upon you all harmful things, until He has destroyed you from this good land which the Lord your God has given you.

Therefore the strength of Pharaoh Shall be your shame, And trust in the shadow of Egypt Shall be your humiliation.

For the Lord will rise up as at Mount Perazim, He will be angry as in the Valley of Gibeon— That He may do His work, His awesome work, And bring to pass His act, His unusual act.

And this shall be a sign to you,’ says the Lord,‘ that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that My words will surely stand against you for adversity.’“ Thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, I will give Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies and into the hand of those who seek his life, as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, his enemy who sought his life.’”

So it was, whenever the ark set out, that Moses said:“ Rise up, O Lord! Let Your enemies be scattered, And let those who hate You flee before You.”

Who would not fear You, O King of the nations? For this is Your rightful due. For among all the wise men of the nations, And in all their kingdoms, There is none like You.

Let God arise, Let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him.As smoke is driven away, So drive them away; As wax melts before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

Therefore this iniquity shall be to you Like a breach ready to fall, A bulge in a high wall, Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant.And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter’s vessel, Which is broken in pieces; He shall not spare. So there shall not be found among its fragments A shard to take fire from the hearth, Or to take water from the cistern.”

For the day of vengeance is in My heart, And the year of My redeemed has come.I looked, but there was no one to help, And I wondered That there was no one to uphold; Therefore My own arm brought salvation for Me; And My own fury, it sustained Me.

“ Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, For the Lord is the God of knowledge; And by Him actions are weighed.

Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; And their horses are flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord stretches out His hand, Both he who helps will fall, And he who is helped will fall down; They all will perish together.

He catches the wise in their own craftiness, And the counsel of the cunning comes quickly upon them.
