Are there any among the idols of the nations who give rain? Or can the heavens grant showers? Is it not You, Lord our God? Therefore we wait for You, For You are the one who has done all these things.

I will lay it waste; It will not be pruned nor hoed, But briars and thorns will come up. I will also command the clouds not to rain on it.”

“ Furthermore, I withheld the rain from you While there were still three months until harvest. Then I would send rain on one city, But on another city I would not send rain; One part would be rained on, While the part not rained on would dry up.So the people of two or three cities would stagger to another city to drink water, But would not be satisfied; Yet you have not returned to Me,” declares the Lord.

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.

He turns a wilderness into a pool of water, And a dry land into springs of water;And He has the hungry live there, So that they may establish an inhabited city,And sow fields and plant vineyards, And gather a fruitful harvest.He also blesses them and they multiply greatly, And He does not let their cattle decrease.

Since Israel is stubborn Like a stubborn cow, Will the Lord now pasture them Like a lamb in a large field?

During the seven years of plenty the land produced abundantly.
