Then the hordes of all the nations that fight against Ariel, that attack her and her fortress and besiege her, will be as it is with a dream, with a vision in the night—

All the nations fighting against Jerusalem will vanish like a dream! Those who are attacking her walls will vanish like a vision in the night.

到那日，我必設法除滅前來攻擊耶路撒冷的萬國。

以下是耶和華要降下的災疫，用來擊打所有與耶路撒冷作戰的民族：他們雙腳還站立著，他們的肉體就會腐爛；他們的眼睛必在眼窩裡腐爛，他們的舌頭必在口中腐爛。到那日，必有大騷亂從耶和華臨到他們，他們彼此抓住對方的手，彼此舉手攻擊對方。猶大也必在耶路撒冷爭戰；四圍所有國家的財富將被收聚，有極多的金銀和衣服。必有一個像以上災疫那樣的災疫，臨到馬匹、騾子、駱駝、驢子和他們營中的一切牲畜。

到那日，我必使耶路撒冷成為萬民的一塊沉重石頭，凡背負它的都必受重傷；地上萬國都將聚集起來攻擊它。」耶和華宣告：「到那日，我必擊打所有的馬匹，使牠們恐慌，擊打騎馬的人，使他們瘋狂；我必睜眼看顧猶大家，擊打萬民所有的馬匹，使牠們瞎眼。猶大的族長們心裡就說：『耶路撒冷的居民藉著萬軍之耶和華他們的神，成為我們的力量！』

人醒來時怎樣輕視夢，主啊，你醒起時，也會怎樣輕視夢幻般的他們！

它將出去迷惑在大地四角中的列國，就是歌革和瑪各，召集他們參與戰爭；他們的人數多如海沙。他們上來布滿了寬闊的大地，包圍了聖徒的營地，就是那蒙愛的城。可是有火從天上降下來，吞滅了他們。

看哪，傍晚時分必有恐怖的事，未到早晨他們就不復存在了！這就是搶掠我們之人的份，是掠奪我們之人的命運。

看哪！對你發怒的，都必蒙羞受辱；與你相爭的，都如同無有，必要滅亡。與你爭鬥的，你尋找他們，卻找不到；與你交戰的，都如同無有，如同虛無。

於是耶和華的使者出去，在亞述的營中擊殺了十八萬五千人；清早人們起來，看哪，所見的都是死屍！

看哪，耶和華的日子將要來到，你的被掠之物必在你面前被瓜分！我要招聚萬國與耶路撒冷作戰，這城將被攻取，房屋被搶掠，女人被強姦；城中的人必有一半被擄去，但剩餘的民不會從城中被剪除。那時，耶和華要出去，與那些國家爭戰，像他從前在戰鬥之日爭戰那樣。
