Therefore this is what the Lord, who redeemed Abraham, says to the descendants of Jacob:“ No longer will Jacob be ashamed; no longer will their faces grow pale.

Long ago the Lord saved Abraham from trouble. Now he says to Jacob’s people,“ You will not be ashamed anymore. Your faces will no longer grow pale with fear.

Therefore thus says the Lord, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob:“ Jacob shall no more be ashamed, no more shall his face grow pale.

That is why the Lord, who redeemed Abraham, says to the people of Israel,“ My people will no longer be ashamed or turn pale with fear.

Therefore, the LORD who redeemed Abraham says this about the house of Jacob: Jacob will no longer be ashamed, and his face will no longer be pale.

Therefore thus says the Lord, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob:“ Jacob shall not now be ashamed, Nor shall his face now grow pale;

Therefore thus saith Jehovah, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: Jacob shall not now be ashamed, neither shall his face now wax pale.

Therefore, the Lord who redeemed Abraham says this about the house of Jacob: Jacob will no longer be ashamed and his face will no longer be pale.

So this is what the LORD, the one who delivered Abraham, says to the family of Jacob:“ Jacob will no longer be ashamed; their faces will no longer show their embarrassment.

Therefore Yahweh, who redeemed Abraham, says concerning the house of Jacob:“ Jacob shall no longer be ashamed, neither shall his face grow pale.

Look to Abraham your father And to Sarah who gave birth to you in pain; When he was only one I called him, Then I blessed him and multiplied him.”

And do not fear, Jacob My servant,’ declares the Lord,‘ And do not be dismayed, Israel; For behold, I am going to save you from far away, And your descendants from the land of their captivity. And Jacob will return and be at peace, without anxiety, And no one will make him afraid.

“ Fear not, for you will not be put to shame; And do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced; But you will forget the shame of your youth, And no longer remember the disgrace of your widowhood.

Israel has been saved by the Lord With an everlasting salvation; You will not be put to shame or humiliated To all eternity.

In the Lord all the offspring of Israel Will be justified and will boast.”

“ And My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd; and they will walk in My ordinances, and keep My statutes and follow them.

“ Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you.Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.“ Raise your eyes all around and see; They all gather together, they come to you. Your sons will come from afar, And your daughters will be carried on the hip.Then you will see and be radiant, And your heart will thrill and rejoice; Because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you, The wealth of the nations will come to you.A multitude of camels will cover you, The young camels of Midian and Ephah; All those from Sheba will come; They will bring gold and frankincense, And proclaim good news of the praises of the Lord.All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered to you, The rams of Nebaioth will serve you; They will go up on My altar with acceptance, And I will glorify My glorious house.Who are these who fly like a cloud And like the doves to their windows?Certainly the coastlands will wait for Me; And the ships of Tarshish will come first, To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, For the name of the Lord your God, And for the Holy One of Israel because He has glorified you.

And the redeemed of the Lord will return And come to Zion with joyful shouting, And everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away.

So you will know that I am in the midst of Israel, And that I am the Lord your God And there is no other; And My people will never be put to shame.

Instead of your shame you will have a double portion, And instead of humiliation they will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land, Everlasting joy will be theirs.For I, the Lord, love justice, I hate robbery in the burnt offering; And I will faithfully give them their reward, And make an everlasting covenant with them.Then their offspring will be known among the nations, And their descendants in the midst of the peoples. All who see them will recognize them Because they are the offspring whom the Lord has blessed.I will rejoice greatly in the Lord, My soul will be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, As a groom puts on a turban, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.For as the earth produces its sprouts, And as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up, So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise To spring up before all the nations.

And they* sang a new song, saying,“ Worthy are You to take the scroll and to break its seals; for You were slaughtered, and You purchased people for God with Your blood from every tribe, language, people, and nation.

For You are our Father, though Abraham does not know us And Israel does not recognize us. You, Lord, are our Father, Our Redeemer from ancient times is Your name.

This is what the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel and its Holy One, Says to the despised One, To the One abhorred by the nation, To the Servant of rulers:“ Kings will see and arise, Princes will also bow down, Because of the Lord who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen You.”This is what the Lord says:“ At a favorable time I answered You, And on a day of salvation I helped You; And I will watch over You and make You a covenant of the people, To restore the land, to give as inheritances the deserted hereditary lands;Saying to those who are bound,‘ Go free,’ To those who are in darkness,‘ Show yourselves.’ They will feed along the roads, And their pasture will be on all bare heights.They will not hunger or thirst, Nor will the scorching heat or sun strike them down; For He who has compassion on them will lead them, And He will guide them to springs of water.I will make all My mountains a road, And My highways will be raised up.Behold, these will come from afar; And behold, these will come from the north and from the west, And these from the land of Aswan.”Shout for joy, you heavens! And rejoice, you earth! Break forth into joyful shouting, mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people And will have compassion on His afflicted.But Zion said,“ The Lord has abandoned me, And the Lord has forgotten me.”“ Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.Your builders hurry; Your destroyers and devastators Will leave you.Raise your eyes and look around; All of them gather together, they come to you. As I live,” declares the Lord,“ You will certainly put them all on as jewelry and bind them on as a bride.For your ruins and deserted places and your destroyed land— Now you will certainly be too cramped for the inhabitants, And those who swallowed you will be far away.The children you lost will yet say in your ears,‘ The place is too cramped for me; Make room for me that I may live here.’Then you will say in your heart,‘ Who has fathered these for me, Since I have been bereaved of my children And cannot conceive, and I am an exile, and a wanderer? And who has raised these? Behold, I was left alone; Where are these from?’ ”This is what the Lord God says:“ Behold, I will lift up My hand to the nations And set up My flag to the peoples; And they will bring your sons in their arms, And your daughters will be carried on their shoulders.Kings will be your guardians, And their princesses your nurses. They will bow down to you with their faces to the ground And lick the dust from your feet; And you will know that I am the Lord; Those who hopefully wait for Me will not be put to shame.“ Can the prey be taken from a mighty man, Or the captives of a tyrant be rescued?”Indeed, this is what the Lord says:“ Even the captives of the mighty man will be taken away, And the prey of a tyrant will be rescued; For I will contend with the one who contends with you, And I will save your sons.I will feed your oppressors with their own flesh, And they will become drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine; And humanity will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

And the nations will know that I am the Lord who sanctifies Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forever.” ’ ”

You are the Lord God, Who chose Abram And brought him out from Ur of the Chaldees, And gave him the name Abraham.You found his heart faithful before You, And made a covenant with him To give him the land of the Canaanite, Of the Hittite and the Amorite, Of the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite— To give it to his descendants. And You have fulfilled Your promise, Because You are righteous.

“ Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited us and accomplished redemption for His people,

Joshua said to all the people,“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says:‘ From ancient times your fathers lived beyond the Euphrates River, namely, Terah, the father of Abraham and the father of Nahor, and they served other gods.Then I took your father Abraham from beyond the Euphrates River and led him through all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his descendants and gave him Isaac.To Isaac I gave Jacob and Esau, and to Esau I gave Mount Seir, to possess it; but Jacob and his sons went down to Egypt.Then I sent Moses and Aaron, and I plagued Egypt by what I did in its midst; and afterward I brought you out.

The angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the boys; And may my name live on in them, And the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And may they grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”

knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers,but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

“ Have you not observed what these people have asserted, saying,‘ The two families which the Lord chose, He has rejected them’? So they despise My people as no longer being a nation in their sight.This is what the Lord says:‘ If My covenant for day and night does not continue, and I have not established the fixed patterns of heaven and earth,then I would reject the descendants of Jacob and David My servant, so as not to take from his descendants rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. But I will restore their fortunes and have mercy on them.’ ”

Therefore this is what the Lord God says:“ Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on all the house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name.They will forget their disgrace and all their treachery which they perpetrated against Me, when they live securely on their own land with no one to make them afraid.When I bring them back from the peoples and gather them from the lands of their enemies, then I shall show Myself holy through them in the sight of the many nations.Then they will know that I am the Lord their God because I made them go into exile among the nations, and then I gathered them again to their own land; and I will leave none of them there any longer.I will not hide My face from them any longer, for I will have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,” declares the Lord God.In the twenty fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was taken, on this very day the hand of the Lord was upon me and He brought me there.In the visions of God He brought me into the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, and on it to the south there was something like a structure of a city.So He brought me there; and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, with a thread of flax and a measuring rod in his hand; and he was standing in the gateway.And the man said to me,“ Son of man, see with your eyes, hear with your ears, and pay attention to all that I am going to show you; for you have been brought here in order to show it to you. Declare to the house of Israel all that you see.”And behold, there was a wall on the outside of the temple all around, and in the man’s hand was a measuring rod of six cubits, each of which was a cubit and a hand width. So he measured the thickness of the wall, one rod; and the height, one rod.Then he went to the gate which faced east, went up its steps, and measured the threshold of the gate, one rod in width; and the other threshold was one rod in width.The guardroom was one rod long and one rod wide; and there were five cubits between the guardrooms. And the threshold of the gate by the porch of the gate facing inward was one rod.Then he measured the porch of the gate facing inward, one rod.And he measured the porch of the gate, eight cubits; and its side pillars, two cubits. And the porch of the gate was faced inward.The guardrooms of the gate toward the east numbered three on each side; the three of them had the same measurement. The side pillars also had the same measurement on each side.And he measured the width of the gateway, ten cubits, and the length of the gate, thirteen cubits.There was a barrier wall one cubit wide in front of the guardrooms on each side; and the guardrooms were six cubits square on each side.And he measured the gate from the roof of the one guardroom to the roof of the other, a width of twenty five cubits, from one door to the door opposite.He made the side pillars sixty cubits high; the gate extended all around to the side pillar of the courtyard.And from the front of the entrance gate to the front of the inner porch of the gate was fifty cubits.And there were shuttered windows looking toward the guardrooms, and toward their side pillars within the gate all around, and likewise for the porches. And there were windows all around inside; and on each side pillar were palm tree decorations.Then he brought me into the outer courtyard, and behold, there were chambers and a stone pavement made for the courtyard all around; thirty chambers faced the pavement.And the pavement( that is, the lower pavement) was by the side of the gates, corresponding to the length of the gates.Then he measured the width from the front of the lower gate to the front of the exterior of the inner courtyard, a hundred cubits on the east and on the north.And as for the gate of the outer courtyard which faced north, he measured its length and its width.It had three guardrooms on each side; and its side pillars and its porches had the same measurement as the first gate. Its length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty five cubits.Its windows, its porches, and its palm tree decorations had the same measurements as the gate which faced east; and it was reached by seven steps, and its porch was in front of them.The inner courtyard had a gate opposite the gate on the north as well as the gate on the east; and he measured a hundred cubits from gate to gate.Then he led me toward the south, and behold, there was a gate toward the south; and he measured its side pillars and its porches according to those same measurements.The gate and its porches had windows all around like those other windows; the length was fifty cubits and the width, twenty five cubits.There were seven steps going up to it, and its porches were in front of them; and it had palm tree decorations on its side pillars, one on each side.The inner courtyard had a gate toward the south; and he measured from gate to gate toward the south, a hundred cubits.Then he brought me to the inner courtyard by the south gate; and he measured the south gate according to those same measurements.Its guardrooms also, its side pillars, and its porches were according to those same measurements. And the gate and its porches had windows all around; it was fifty cubits long and twenty five cubits wide.There were porches all around, twenty five cubits long and five cubits wide.And its porches were toward the outer courtyard; and palm tree decorations were on its side pillars, and its stairway had eight steps.Then he brought me into the inner courtyard toward the east. And he measured the gate according to those same measurements.Its guardrooms also, its side pillars, and its porches were according to those same measurements. And the gate and its porches had windows all around; it was fifty cubits long and twenty five cubits wide.Its porches were toward the outer courtyard; and palm tree decorations were on its side pillars, on each side, and its stairway had eight steps.Then he brought me to the north gate; and he measured it according to those same measurements,with its guardrooms, its side pillars, and its porches. And the gate had windows all around; the length was fifty cubits and the width twenty five cubits.And its side pillars were toward the outer courtyard; and palm tree decorations were on its side pillars, on each side, and its stairway had eight steps.A chamber with its doorway was by the side pillars at the gates; there they rinse the burnt offering.And in the porch of the gate were two tables on each side, on which to slaughter the burnt offering, the sin offering, and the guilt offering.On the outer side, as one went up to the gateway toward the north, were two tables; and on the other side of the porch of the gate were two tables.Four tables were on each side next to the gate; eight tables on which they slaughter sacrifices.For the burnt offering there were four tables of cut stone, a cubit and a half long, a cubit and a half wide, and one cubit high, on which they set the utensils with which they slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice.And the double hooks, one hand width in length, were installed in the house all around; and on the tables was the flesh of the offering.From the outside to the inner gate were chambers for the singers in the inner courtyard, one of which was at the side of the north gate, with its front toward the south, and one at the side of the south gate facing north.Then he said to me,“ This is the chamber which faces south, intended for the priests who are responsible for the temple;but the chamber which faces north is for the priests who are responsible for the altar. They are the sons of Zadok, who from the sons of Levi come near to the Lord to serve Him.”He measured the courtyard, a perfect square, a hundred cubits long and a hundred cubits wide; and the altar was in front of the temple.Then he brought me to the porch of the temple and measured each side pillar of the porch, five cubits on each side; and the width of the gate was three cubits on each side.

I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? Far from it! But by their wrongdoing salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them jealous.Now if their wrongdoing proves to be riches for the world, and their failure, riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fulfillment be!But I am speaking to you who are Gentiles. Therefore insofar as I am an apostle of Gentiles, I magnify my ministryif somehow I may move my own people to jealousy and save some of them.For if their rejection proves to be the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?If the first piece of dough is holy, the lump is also; and if the root is holy, the branches are as well.But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the rich root of the olive tree,do not be arrogant toward the branches; but if you are arrogant, remember that it is not you who supports the root, but the root supports you.You will say then,“ Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.”Quite right, they were broken off for their unbelief, but you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited, but fear;for if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you, either.See then the kindness and severity of God: to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; for otherwise you too will be cut off.And they also, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in; for God is able to graft them in again.For if you were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these who are the natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree?

“ Remember these things, Jacob, And Israel, for you are My servant; I have formed you, you are My servant, Israel, you will not be forgotten by Me.I have wiped out your wrongdoings like a thick cloud And your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.”Shout for joy, you heavens, for the Lord has done it! Shout joyfully, you lower parts of the earth; Break into a shout of jubilation, you mountains, Forest, and every tree in it; For the Lord has redeemed Jacob, And in Israel He shows His glory.This is what the Lord says, He who is your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb:“ I, the Lord, am the maker of all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself And spreading out the earth alone,Causing the omens of diviners to fail, Making fools of fortune tellers; Causing wise men to turn back And making their knowledge ridiculous,Confirming the word of His servant And carrying out the purpose of His messengers. It is I who says of Jerusalem,‘ She shall be inhabited!’ And of the cities of Judah,‘ They shall be built.’ And I will raise her ruins again.

“ Listen to Me, house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel, You who have been carried by Me from birth And have been carried from the womb;Even to your old age I will be the same, And even to your graying years I will carry you! I have done it, and I will bear you; And I will carry you and I will save you.

Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you people of Israel; I will help you,” declares the Lord,“ and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

“ For this is what the Lord says:‘ I have heard a sound of terror, Of fear, and there is no peace.Ask now, and see If a male can give birth. Why do I see every man With his hands on his waist, as a woman in childbirth? And why have all faces turned pale?Woe, for that day is great, There is none like it; And it is the time of Jacob’s distress, Yet he will be saved from it.

“ But you, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, Descendant of Abraham My friend,You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth And called from its remotest parts, And said to you,‘ You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not rejected you.

Hear the word of the Lord, you nations, And declare it in the coastlands far away, And say,“ He who scattered Israel will gather him, And He will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.”For the Lord has ransomed Jacob And redeemed him from the hand of him who was stronger than he.“ They will come and shout for joy on the height of Zion, And they will be radiant over the bounty of the Lord— Over the grain, the new wine, the oil, And over the young of the flock and the herd. And their life will be like a watered garden, And they will never languish again.
