斯人也、以清酒而搖曳、以醇醪而蹁躚、祭司先知、亦以醇醪而搖曳、皆困於酒、以醇醪而蹁躚、見異象則謬解、行審判則顚蹶、

斯邦之人、自祭司至先知、縱飲無度、沉湎於酒、至於跬步不能自主、雖目睹異象、而心志仍昏、雖為民折中、而剖決不明。

惟斯人亦被酒迷惑、因醇醪而差謬、祭司與先知被醇醪迷惑、為酒所困、雖得默示、仍然迷惑、行審判俱恍惚無定、

And these also stagger from wine and reel from beer: Priests and prophets stagger from beer and are befuddled with wine; they reel from beer, they stagger when seeing visions, they stumble when rendering decisions.

Israel’s leaders are drunk from wine. They can’t walk straight. They are drunk from beer. They are unsteady on their feet. Priests and prophets drink beer. They can’t walk straight. They are mixed up from drinking too much wine. They drink too much beer. They are unsteady on their feet. The prophets see visions but don’t really understand them. The priests aren’t able to make good decisions.

These also reel with wine and stagger with strong drink; the priest and the prophet reel with strong drink, they are swallowed by wine, they stagger with strong drink, they reel in vision, they stumble in giving judgment.

Now, however, Israel is led by drunks who reel with wine and stagger with alcohol. The priests and prophets stagger with alcohol and lose themselves in wine. They reel when they see visions and stagger as they render decisions.

Even these stagger because of wine and stumble under the influence of beer: Priest and prophet stagger because of beer. They are confused by wine. They stumble because of beer. They are muddled in their visions. They stumble in their judgments.

And these also reel with wine and stagger from intoxicating drink: The priest and the prophet reel with intoxicating drink, They are confused by wine, they stagger from intoxicating drink; They reel while having visions, They stagger when rendering a verdict.

But they also have erred through wine, And through intoxicating drink are out of the way; The priest and the prophet have erred through intoxicating drink, They are swallowed up by wine, They are out of the way through intoxicating drink; They err in vision, they stumble in judgment.

And even these reel with wine, and stagger with strong drink; the priest and the prophet reel with strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they stagger with strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.

These also stagger because of wine and stumble under the influence of beer: priest and prophet stagger because of beer, they are confused by wine. They stumble because of beer, they are muddled in their visions, they stumble in their judgments.

They also reel with wine, and stagger with strong drink. The priest and the prophet reel with strong drink. They are swallowed up by wine. They stagger with strong drink. They err in vision. They stumble in judgment.

Israel’s watchmen are blind, they all lack knowledge; they are all mute dogs, they cannot bark; they lie around and dream, they love to sleep.They are dogs with mighty appetites; they never have enough. They are shepherds who lack understanding; they all turn to their own way, they seek their own gain.“ Come,” each one cries,“ let me get wine! Let us drink our fill of beer! And tomorrow will be like today, or even far better.” (niv)

“ Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. (niv)

Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise. (niv)

“ Immediately after the distress of those days“‘ the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ (niv)

The Lord has poured into them a spirit of dizziness; they make Egypt stagger in all that she does, as a drunkard staggers around in his vomit. (niv)

Blessed is the land whose king is of noble birth and whose princes eat at a proper time— for strength and not for drunkenness. (niv)

Youths oppress my people, women rule over them. My people, your guides lead you astray; they turn you from the path. (niv)

This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord. (niv)

Have you not seen false visions and uttered lying divinations when you say,“ The Lord declares,” though I have not spoken? (niv)

the elders and dignitaries are the head, the prophets who teach lies are the tail.Those who guide this people mislead them, and those who are guided are led astray. (niv)

“ Among the prophets of Samaria I saw this repulsive thing: They prophesied by Baal and led my people Israel astray. (niv)

But see, there is joy and revelry, slaughtering of cattle and killing of sheep, eating of meat and drinking of wine!“ Let us eat and drink,” you say,“ for tomorrow we die!” (niv)

For you this whole vision is nothing but words sealed in a scroll. And if you give the scroll to someone who can read, and say,“ Read this, please,” they will answer,“ I can’t; it is sealed.” (niv)

it will be the same for priest as for people, for the master as for his servant, for the mistress as for her servant, for seller as for buyer, for borrower as for lender, for debtor as for creditor. (niv)

Like an enemy he has strung his bow; his right hand is ready. Like a foe he has slain all who were pleasing to the eye; he has poured out his wrath like fire on the tent of Daughter Zion. (niv)

“ You and your sons are not to drink wine or other fermented drink whenever you go into the tent of meeting, or you will die. This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come,so that you can distinguish between the holy and the common, between the unclean and the clean, (niv)

In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. (niv)

Woe to those who rise early in the morning to run after their drinks, who stay up late at night till they are inflamed with wine. (niv)

No priest is to drink wine when he enters the inner court. (niv)

to prostitution; old wine and new wine take away their understanding.My people consult a wooden idol, and a diviner’s rod speaks to them. A spirit of prostitution leads them astray; they are unfaithful to their God. (niv)

Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks, (niv)

It is not for kings, Lemuel— it is not for kings to drink wine, not for rulers to crave beer,lest they drink and forget what has been decreed, and deprive all the oppressed of their rights. (niv)

Then the Lord said to me,“ The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds. (niv)
