故雅各之愆尤、以此得蒙赦免、斯災所結之果、即除其罪惡、因其毀祭壇之石、使如已碎之灰石、而亞舍拉亞舍拉或作木偶與日像不復立焉、

By this, then, will Jacob’s guilt be atoned for, and this will be the full fruit of the removal of his sin: When he makes all the altar stones to be like limestone crushed to pieces, no Asherah poles or incense altars will be left standing.

The people of Jacob will have to pay for their sin. Here is how they will show that their sin has been removed. They will make all the altar stones like limestone. They will crush them to pieces. No poles used to worship the female god named Asherah will be left standing. No incense altars will be left either.

Therefore by this the guilt of Jacob will be atoned for, and this will be the full fruit of the removal of his sin: when he makes all the stones of the altars like chalk stones crushed to pieces, no Asherim or incense altars will remain standing.

The Lord did this to purge Israel’s wickedness, to take away all her sin. As a result, all the pagan altars will be crushed to dust. No Asherah pole or pagan shrine will be left standing.

Therefore Jacob’s iniquity will be atoned for in this way, and the result of the removal of his sin will be this: when he makes all the altar stones like crushed bits of chalk, no Asherah poles or incense altars will remain standing.

Therefore through this Jacob’s wrongdoing will be forgiven; And this will be the full price of the pardoning of his sin: When he makes all the altar stones like pulverized chalk stones; When Asherim and incense altars will not stand.

Therefore by this the iniquity of Jacob will be covered; And this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: When he makes all the stones of the altar Like chalkstones that are beaten to dust, Wooden images and incense altars shall not stand.

Therefore by this shall the iniquity of Jacob be forgiven, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: that he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, so that the Asherim and the sun- images shall rise no more.

Therefore Jacob’s iniquity will be purged in this way, and the result of the removal of his sin will be this: when he makes all the altar stones like crushed bits of chalk, no Asherah poles or incense altars will remain standing.

By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this[ is] all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

So in this way Jacob’s sin will be forgiven, and this is how they will show they are finished sinning: They will make all the stones of the altars like crushed limestone, and the Asherah poles and the incense altars will no longer stand.

Therefore by this the iniquity of Jacob will be forgiven, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: that he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk stones that are beaten in pieces, so that the Asherah poles and the incense altars shall rise no more.

他們必不仰望祭壇，他們自己的手所築造的，也不看自己指頭所作的，無論是亞舍拉神木，或是香壇。

因為萬軍之永恆主必有一日要攻擊一切驕矜高傲的，一切自抬自高的；要攻擊利巴嫩高而昂的香柏樹，和巴珊的橡樹；攻擊一切高山，一切巍峨的岡陵，一切高聳的譙樓，一切高不可扳的城牆；攻擊他施一切的船隻，一切可喜愛的華艇。人的驕傲必屈抑下來，人們的高傲必降為低微；惟獨永恆主在那日必被尊為崇高。眾偶相必全都過去。永恆主起來、使地戰抖時候，人必進入巖洞，進入土穴，去躲避永恆主之可畏懼、和他威嚴之榮光。當那日子、人必將他們為自己所造去敬拜的銀偶相金偶相拋給挖窩的田鼠和蝙蝠，以便永恆主起來使地戰抖時人好進巖隙，入巖罅，去躲避永恆主之可畏懼、和他威嚴之榮光。

我必從你中間剪除你的雕像和崇拜柱子，你就不再敬拜你自己的手所造的；我必從你中間拔出你的亞舍拉神木，掃滅你各種的偶像。

他又從猶大各城除掉了邱壇和香壇。在他手下國中享太平。

永恆主之殿的銅柱、和永恆主殿裏的盆座和銅海、迦勒底人都打碎了，將銅運到巴比倫去。他們又將鍋、鏟子、蠟燭剪子、碟子、和供職用的一切銅器、都拿了去；火鼎、碗、一切金器、一切銀器、護衛長也都把它當金銀拿了去。至於所羅門為永恆主之殿所造的兩根銅柱、一個銅海、和十個盆座：這一切器皿的銅、其重量就無法可稱了。一根柱子高十八肘；柱上有銅柱斗；柱斗高三肘；柱斗上四圍有網子和石榴，都是銅的；另一根柱子像這一樣、也有網子。

『萬軍之永恆主發神諭說，當那日我必從這地剪除偶像的名字，叫那些名字不再被記念；假神言人和污穢之靈、我也必從這地除去。

以法蓮哪，我和偶像還有甚麼關係呢？是我應了他，也是我監視他。以法蓮唱：『我如同青翠的松樹。』永恆主和：『你的果子是從我而來的。』

他把永恆主的殿和王的宮室都燒掉，又燒了耶路撒冷的一切房屋，連所有大幢的房屋都放火燒。

然後把空了的鍋擱在炭火上，把鍋燒熱，把它的銅燒紅，使那中間的污穢熔化，使它的垢渣得除淨。嗐，它使我勞累辛苦！它厚厚的垢渣仍然沒有除去；它的垢渣用火也不能燒除。在你的污穢中有淫蕩那大罪惡極。因為我要潔淨你，而你卻不潔除你的污穢，那麼、非等到我平息了我向你發的烈怒，你是再也不能潔淨的了。我永恆主說了，那事必成；我要實行；我必不放鬆，必不顧惜，也不改變心意；我必照你的行徑、照你的所作所為來判罰你：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。』

眾人在他面前拆毁了巴力的祭壇，他砍下了壇上高高的香壇，又把亞舍拉神木、雕像和鑄像打碎成灰，撒在對這些偶像獻過祭的人的墳墓上。

但他來的日子誰能當得起呢？他顯現時、誰能站立得住呢？『因為他像煉金之人的火，像漂布之人的鹼。他必坐着、作為熬煉銀子、使它潔淨者；他必使利未人潔淨，他必精煉他們像金子、像銀子，直到他們用對的供物獻與永恆主。

約薩達的兒子耶書亞同作祭司的弟兄、跟撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯和他的族弟兄、都起來、築了以色列上帝的祭壇，要照神人摩西律法書上所寫的、在祭壇上獻上燔祭。因為為了四圍各地的族民而起了恐怖的心，他們就在殿的基地上建設了祭壇，早晚在祭壇上向永恆主獻上燔祭。

因為你們必因所喜愛的聖篤耨香樹而抱愧，必因所選擇的園林龕而蒙羞。

我遭受苦難、於我有益，為要使我學習你的律例。

再者，我們有我們肉身之父管教我們，我們尚且尊敬他們，何況靈性之父，我們豈不更當順服他而活麼？他們呢、是在短暫日子裏照自己以為對的來管教；他呢、卻為了我們的益處、要使我們有分於他的聖善。一切管教、在當時似乎不是喜樂，而是憂愁；以後呢、卻給那些由此而受操練的人結出平安的果子、就是正義的果子、來。

他們的祭壇你們要拆毁，他們的崇拜柱子你們要打碎，他們的亞舍拉神木、你們要砍下來，

他們必到那裏，必從其中除掉一切可憎可厭惡之像。

鞭打的創傷把人的壞處涮淨；責罰的擊打洗涮人腹中深處。

在未遭受苦難以前、我犯了錯誤；現在我遵守你的訓言。

因為主所愛的、主就管教；他所承認的每一個兒子、他都鞭打』。

我要從你們中間除淨那些叛徒、那些悖逆了我的人，將他們從所寄居之地領出來；但以色列的土地呢、他們卻不得進；你們就知道我乃是永恆主。

迦勒底人燒了上帝的殿，拆毁了耶路撒冷的城牆，用火燒了城裏所有的宮堡，將城裏所有寶貴的器皿都毁壞了。

因此主、萬軍之永恆主、以色列之大能者、發神諭說：『哎，我要向我的對頭雪恨；我要向我的仇敵報復；我必將手轉過去攻擊你；我必鍊除你的雜質於爐中，除去你一切的渣滓。

然而若受主審判，乃是受主懲罰管教，免得跟世人一同受定罪。
