My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.

My heart longs for you at night. My spirit longs for you in the morning. You will come and judge the earth. Then the people of the world will learn to do what is right.

My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

In the night I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek you. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right.

I long for you in the night; yes, my spirit within me diligently seeks you, for when your judgments are in the land, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

At night my soul longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; For when the earth experiences Your judgments, The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

But above all pursue his kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

O God, you are my God! I long for you! My soul thirsts for you, my flesh yearns for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.

Then Jesus got up early in the morning when it was still very dark, departed, and went out to a deserted place, and there he spent time in prayer.

All night long on my bed I longed for my lover. I longed for him but he never appeared.“ I will arise and look all around throughout the town, and throughout the streets and squares; I will search for my beloved.” I searched for him but I did not find him.The night watchmen found me– the ones who guard the city walls.“ Have you seen my beloved?”Scarcely had I passed them by when I found my beloved! I held onto him tightly and would not let him go until I brought him to my mother’s house, to the bedroom chamber of the one who conceived me.

Now it was during this time that Jesus went out to the mountain to pray, and he spent all night in prayer to God.

Then I will return again to my lair until they have suffered their punishment. Then they will seek me; in their distress they will earnestly seek me.

In the middle of the night I arise to thank you for your just regulations.

whenever I remember you on my bed, and think about you during the nighttime hours.For you are my deliverer; under your wings I rejoice.

Just then a major earthquake took place and a tenth of the city collapsed; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Seek the LORD while he makes himself available; call to him while he is nearby!

I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.

In my time of trouble I sought the Lord. I kept my hand raised in prayer throughout the night. I refused to be comforted.I said,“ I will remember God while I groan; I will think about him while my strength leaves me.”( Selah)

I yearn for the Lord, more than watchmen do for the morning, yes, more than watchmen do for the morning.

Then they will know that you alone are the LORD, the sovereign king over all the earth.

I was asleep, but my mind was dreaming. Listen! My lover is knocking at the door!“ Open for me, my sister, my darling, my dove, my flawless one! My head is drenched with dew, my hair with the dampness of the night.”“ I have already taken off my robe– must I put it on again? I have already washed my feet– must I soil them again?”My lover thrust his hand through the hole, and my feelings were stirred for him.I arose to open for my beloved; my hands dripped with myrrh– my fingers flowed with myrrh on the handles of the lock.I opened for my beloved, but my lover had already turned and gone away. I fell into despair when he departed. I looked for him but did not find him; I called him but he did not answer me.The watchmen found me as they made their rounds in the city. They beat me, they bruised me; they took away my cloak, those watchmen on the walls!O maidens of Jerusalem, I command you– If you find my beloved, what will you tell him? Tell him that I am lovesick!

and all people will fear. They will proclaim what God has done, and reflect on his deeds.

When he struck them down, they sought his favor; they turned back and longed for God.

Then observers will say,“ Yes indeed, the godly are rewarded! Yes indeed, there is a God who judges in the earth!”

But truly, as I live, all the earth will be filled with the glory of the LORD.For all the people have seen my glory and my signs that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and yet have tempted me now these ten times, and have not obeyed me,they will by no means see the land that I swore to their fathers, nor will any of them who despised me see it.

So in this way Jacob’s sin will be forgiven, and this is how they will show they are finished sinning: They will make all the stones of the altars like crushed limestone, and the Asherah poles and the incense altars will no longer stand.
