My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.

My heart longs for you at night. My spirit longs for you in the morning. You will come and judge the earth. Then the people of the world will learn to do what is right.

My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

In the night I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek you. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right.

I long for you in the night; yes, my spirit within me diligently seeks you, for when your judgments are in the land, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

清早，遠在破曉以前，耶穌就起來，出去，到荒野地方，在那裏禱告。

我夜間躺在床上，尋找我心所愛的；我尋找他，卻找不着；我呼叫他，他卻不應我『我要起來，在城中繞圈兒，在街上在廣場上尋找我心所愛的。』我尋找他，卻找不着。城中巡邏的看守人遇見了我；我問他們：『你們看見了我心所愛的沒有？』我剛剛從他們身邊經過，就遇見我心所愛的。我把他拉住，不放他走，等到領他進我母親家裏，進那懷我者的臥房。

當這些日子、耶穌出去到上山禱告，整夜禱告上帝。

我必返回我的原處，等到他們自認有罪，急難臨到他們時，他們必急切尋求我，尋求見我的面。

因你公義的典章，我半夜裏也起來稱謝你。

就在那時就發生了大地震；那城有十分之一倒壞了。在地震中遭難而死的人有七千名；其餘的人都很懼怕，就把榮耀獻與天上的上帝。

『要趁永恆主可找到時尋找他，趁他相近時呼求他。

愛我的、我也愛他們；懇切尋求我的、必尋得到我。

當患難的日子我尋求主；夜間我直伸出手來禱告，總不懈怠；我的心不肯受安慰。我懷念着上帝，悲哀歎息；我哀怨默想，心靈發昏。（細拉）

使他們知道你、你名耶和華、惟獨你是統治全地的至高者。

我躺着睡，我的心卻醒着。呢，我愛人的聲音呢！他敲着門說：『我的妹妹、我的愛侶啊，給我開門吧！我的鴿子，我的十全美人哪！我的頭都滿了露水了，我的頭髮都滿了夜間的露水珠了。』我回答說：『我已脫下內褂，怎能再穿上呢？我洗了腳，怎能再踹髒呢？』我的愛人從門孔裏伸進手來，我的心大為震動而嚮往他。我起來，要給我的愛人開門；我的兩手滴下了沒藥，我的指頭有沒藥汁滴在門閂柄上。我給我的愛人開了門，我的愛人卻已轉身走過去了！唉，他說話時，我都神不守舍了！我尋找他，竟找不着；我呼叫他，他卻不應我。城中巡邏的看守人遇見了我；他們擊打我，打傷了我；他們把我的蒙身帕給奪去——嘿，那些看守城牆的人！耶路撒冷的女子啊，我誓囑你們：你們若遇見我的愛人，要怎樣告訴他呢？唉，我鬧愛情病了！你的愛人比別人的愛人有甚麼長處呢？

眾人都起了敬畏的心，宣說上帝的作為，沉思上帝所作的事。

每逢他殺了他們的時候，他們總求問他，總回心轉意、迫切切地尋求上帝。

因此人必說：『義人真地有好的果報；地上真地有上帝在施行判罰。』

雖然如此，我指着永活的我來起誓，也指着全地必充滿着永恆主之榮耀來起誓，這些看見我的榮耀、我的神迹、我在埃及和曠野所行的神迹、仍然這樣十次八次地試探我、不聽我聲音的人、這些人也斷不得看見我向他們祖宗起誓應許之地；凡藐視我的、一個也不得看見。

所以雅各若叫祭壇的石頭變為砸碎的灰石，使亞舍拉神木和香壇不得立着：雅各罪孽之得赦除、全在於此：這就是除掉他的罪的整個條件。
