My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.

My heart longs for you at night. My spirit longs for you in the morning. You will come and judge the earth. Then the people of the world will learn to do what is right.

My soul yearns for you in the night; my spirit within me earnestly seeks you. For when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

In the night I search for you; in the morning I earnestly seek you. For only when you come to judge the earth will people learn what is right.

「你們要先尋求上帝的國和祂的義，這一切都會賜給你們。

上帝啊，你是我的上帝，我迫切地尋求你！在乾旱荒涼之地，我的心渴慕你，渴慕你！

第二天清早，天還沒亮，耶穌就起來獨自走到曠野去禱告。

我夜晚躺在床上，思念著我心愛的人；我尋找他，卻找不到。我要起來尋遍城裡的大街小巷，我要尋找我心愛的人。我尋找他，卻尋不到。遇上了城中巡邏的守衛，我就問他們：「你們看到我心愛的人了嗎？」我剛離開他們，便找到了我心愛的人。我拉著他，不讓他走；我把他帶回娘家，到懷我者的臥室。

一天，耶穌到山上整夜向上帝禱告。

我要撇下他們，返回我的居所，直到他們知罪來尋求我。在苦難的日子裡，他們必懇切地尋求我。」

我半夜起來稱謝你公義的法令。

我躺在床上的時候思念你，整夜地思想你。因為你是我的幫助，我在你翅膀的蔭庇下歡歌。

就在那一刻，發生了強烈的地震，那座城的十分之一倒塌了，因地震死亡的共七千人，生還者都在恐懼中將榮耀歸給天上的上帝。

要趁著還可以找到耶和華的時候尋找祂，趁祂還在附近的時候求告祂。

愛我的，我也愛他；懇切尋求我的，必能尋見。

我在困境中尋求主。我整夜舉手禱告，我的心無法得到安慰。我思想上帝，發出哀歎；我默想，心靈疲憊不堪。（細拉）

我一心等候耶和華，比守夜的盼望天明還要迫切，比守夜的盼望天明還要迫切。

讓他們知道你是耶和華，唯有你是普天下的至高者。

我雖然躺在床上，心卻清醒。我聽見我的良人在叩門，說：「開門吧！我的妹妹，我的愛人，我完美無瑕的小鴿子啊，我的頭上沾滿了露水，頭髮被夜間的露珠弄濕了。」可是我已經脫了衣裳，難道要再穿上嗎？我已經洗了腳，怎能再沾土呢？我的良人從門孔伸進手來，我心神為之蕩漾，就起來為他開門；我的雙手滴下沒藥，甚至門閂也沾了我指頭滴下的沒藥。我為良人開了門，他卻已經離開了。他的離去使我心中失落。我到處找他，卻找不著；我呼喚他，卻得不到回答。城中巡邏的衛兵遇見我，把我打傷了，看守城牆的人還搶走了我的披肩。耶路撒冷的少女啊，我懇求你們，倘若遇見我的良人，請告訴他我思愛成病。

這樣，人人必敬畏上帝，傳揚祂奇妙的作為，思想祂所做的事。

直到上帝擊殺他們的時候，他們才回轉，誠心尋求上帝。

這樣，人們必說：「義人終有善報，確實有一位審判天下的上帝。」

但我憑我的永恆起誓，正如大地充滿我的榮耀一樣確實，他們絕對看不到我起誓要賜給他們祖先的土地，藐視我的人都看不到那片土地。這些人見過我的榮耀，見過我在埃及和曠野所行的神蹟，卻仍然不聽我的話，試探我十次之多。

藉此，雅各家的罪惡必得到赦免，他們罪惡被除掉後所結的果實是：打碎假神祭壇的石頭，推倒亞舍拉神像和香壇。
