他使那些驕傲的降卑，使那些高聳的城敗落；把它拆毀，散在地上，變作塵土。

他使住高处的与高城一并败落，将城拆毁，拆平，直到尘埃，

他使居住高处的与高处的城市一同降为卑下，将城拆毁，夷为平地，化为尘土，

他使居住高处的与高处的城市一同降为卑下，将城拆毁，夷为平地，化为尘土，

祂贬抑高傲的人，拆毁他们高耸的城邑，把它们夷为平地、化为尘土，

他使那些骄傲的降卑，使那些高耸的城败落；把它拆毁，散在地上，变作尘土。

耶和华必使居高处的，就是居于高耸城中的人，降为卑屈，又使城落败、一败涂地、坠入尘土——

他使住高處的與高城一併敗落，將城拆毀，拆平，直到塵埃，

祂貶抑高傲的人，拆毀他們高聳的城邑，把它們夷為平地、化為塵土，

因為他使住高處的、高不可扳的都市、降低，使它敗落，敗落到平地，使它化為塵土。

耶和華必使居高處的，就是居於高聳城中的人，降為卑屈，又使城落敗、一敗塗地、墜入塵土——

曾降居高之人、毀崇高之邑、覆之於地、墮之於塵、

高者降為卑、都城百仞、使之傾圮、成為邱墟、

高居之民、主使卑降、鞏固之邑、主使傾頹於地、墮於塵埃、

He humbles those who dwell on high, he lays the lofty city low; he levels it to the ground and casts it down to the dust.

He brings down those who are proud. He pulls down cities that have high walls. They fall down flat on the ground. He throws them down to the dust.

For he has humbled the inhabitants of the height, the lofty city. He lays it low, lays it low to the ground, casts it to the dust.

He humbles the proud and brings down the arrogant city. He brings it down to the dust.

For he has humbled those who live in lofty places— an inaccessible city. He brings it down; he brings it down to the ground; he throws it to the dust.

For He has brought low those who dwell on high, the unassailable city; He lays it low, He lays it low to the ground, He casts it to the dust.

For He brings down those who dwell on high, The lofty city; He lays it low, He lays it low to the ground, He brings it down to the dust.

For he hath brought down them that dwell on high, the lofty city: he layeth it low, he layeth it low even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.

For He has humbled those who live in lofty places— an inaccessible city. He brings it down; He brings it down to the ground; He throws it to the dust.

For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low,[ even] to the ground; he bringeth it[ even] to the dust.

Indeed, the LORD knocks down those who live in a high place, he brings down an elevated town; he brings it down to the ground, he throws it down to the dust.

For he has brought down those who dwell on high, the lofty city. He lays it low. He lays it low even to the ground. He brings it even to the dust.

要倒盡你忿激的怒氣，觀看所有驕傲的人，使他們降卑。觀看所有驕傲的人，把他制伏，把惡人踐踏在他們的地方，把他們一起掩藏在塵土裡，把他們本人捆綁在隱密處。

然後說：‘巴比倫必因耶和華（“耶和華”原文作“我”）所要降給它的災禍，照樣沉下去，不再浮上來；它的人民也必滅沒。’”耶利米的話到此為止。

他用強有力的聲音呼喊說：“傾倒了！大巴比倫傾倒了！成了鬼魔的住處，各樣污靈的監獄，一切污穢可憎之雀鳥的牢籠，

巴比倫必變成亂堆，成為野狗的巢穴，成為令人驚駭和嗤笑的對象，沒有人居住。

巴比倫的處女啊！你下來，坐在塵土中吧！迦勒底的女兒啊！你坐在地上吧！沒有寶座了，因為你必不再被稱為柔弱嬌嫩的了。

他們必在其中伸開手來，好像游泳者伸開手來游泳一樣；但耶和華要使他們的驕傲和他們手所行的詭計，一同敗落。耶和華必使他們高聳而堅固的城牆傾倒下陷，落在地面，變作塵土。”

但在敵人的國土中，必有冰雹降下，打倒他們的樹林，他們的城必被夷平。

我必因世界的邪惡施行刑罰，也必因惡人的罪孽懲罰他們；我要使狂妄人的驕傲止息，使強暴人的狂傲降卑。

“行毀滅的山哪，就是毀滅全地的山哪！我要和你作對，我要伸手攻擊你，使你從山巖上滾下來，使你成為燒毀了的山。”這是耶和華的宣告。“人必不從你那裡取石頭作房角石，也不從你那裡取石頭作基石，因為你必永遠荒涼。”這是耶和華的宣告。

因為萬軍之耶和華必有一日，要攻擊一切驕傲的、狂妄的，和所有高抬自己的，他們都要降卑。

你心裡曾說：‘我要升到天上，我要高舉我的寶座到神的眾星之上，我要坐在聚會的山上，在北方的極處。

“傲慢的人哪！我必敵對你（這是主萬軍之耶和華的宣告），因為你的日子，就是我懲罰你的時候，來到了。那傲慢的必絆跌仆倒，沒有人扶他起來；我必在他的城鎮中放火，吞滅他四圍的一切。”
