耶和華使死無權、歸於消滅、人昔出涕、主為之拭、俾選民不復見辱於天下、蓋耶和華已言之矣。

主天主必除滅死亡、至於永遠、拭淚於一切人之面、在普天之下洗其民之辱、蓋主言之矣、

he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.

神要從他們的眼中抹去一切淚水。將來不再有死亡，也不再有悲傷、哭泣或痛苦，因為先前的事已經過去了。」

一旦這會朽壞的穿上那不朽壞的，這會死的穿上那不死的，經上所記的話就會應驗了：「死亡被勝利吞滅了！」

因為在寶座中的羔羊將牧養他們，領他們到生命水的泉源；神要從他們的眼中抹去一切淚水。」

蒙耶和華救贖的人必回歸，歡呼著進入錫安；永遠的喜樂必臨到他們的頭上，歡喜快樂要追隨他們，悲哀嘆息卻要逃遁。

在耶和華包紮他子民傷口的日子，在治癒他所擊打之創傷的時候，月光必像日光，日光必加增七倍，像七日的光一樣。

「不要害怕，因你必不致蒙羞；不要愧疚，因你必不致受辱。你將忘記你青春時的恥辱，不再記起你寡居時的羞恥；

錫安的民——住在耶路撒冷的人哪，你必不再哭泣！他必定恩待你，他聽了你哀求的聲音，就必回應你。

蒙耶和華救贖的人必回歸，歡呼著進入錫安；永遠的喜樂必臨到他們的頭上，歡喜快樂要追隨他們，悲哀嘆息卻要逃遁。

萬軍之耶和華說：「在我預備珍貴產業的日子，他們必屬於我；我必憐恤他們，如同人憐恤那服事自己的兒子。那時，你們必再次看出義人與惡人、服事神的人與不服事神的人的區別。」

然而我為你的殿，心火焚燒；辱罵你之人的辱罵都落在我身上。

最後被廢除的仇敵就是死亡，

他們對他說：「希西加如此說：『今天是一個患難、責罰、恥辱的日子；因為嬰孩已經臨盆，我們卻沒有力氣生下來。

所以，孩子們既然同屬血肉之體，他也照樣同有一樣的血肉之體，為要藉著死亡來廢除那掌握死亡權勢的——就是魔鬼，並且釋放那些因怕死而終生被束縛為奴役的人。

然後，死亡和陰間被丟進火湖裡，這火湖就是第二次的死亡。

「當人們因我的緣故責罵你們、逼迫你們、用各種捏造出來的惡事毀謗你們的時候，你們就是蒙福的。你們當歡喜，當快樂，因為你們在天上的報償是大的。要知道，那些人也這樣逼迫了在你們以前的先知們。

而現在，藉著我們的救主基督耶穌的顯現，已經表明出來；基督一方面廢除了死亡，另一方面藉著福音彰顯了生命和不朽。

我要因耶路撒冷而快樂，因我的子民而歡喜，城中再也聽不見哭泣的聲音和哀叫的聲音；

主啊，求你記住你僕人們所受的辱罵，記住我如何在懷中承受萬民的辱罵！耶和華啊，你的仇敵就是這樣羞辱了我，這樣羞辱了你受膏者的腳蹤！

你們必得雙倍的份，代替你們受的恥辱；你們必為自己的份而歡呼，代替你們受的羞辱。這樣，你們在自己的土地上，必擁有雙倍的份；永遠的喜樂必屬於你們。

因耶和華的話語而戰兢的人哪，你們要聽他的話！他說：「你們的兄弟，就是那些恨惡你們、因我名的緣故逼迫你們的，曾說：『願耶和華得榮耀，好讓我們看見你們的喜樂吧！』他們卻必蒙羞。」

你曾經被離棄、被恨惡、荒涼無人經過，而如今我要使你成為永遠的誇耀、世世代代的喜樂。

你們如果因基督的名受責罵，就是蒙福的，因為榮耀的靈，就是神的靈，住在你們身上。
