主天主必除滅死亡、至於永遠、拭淚於一切人之面、在普天之下洗其民之辱、蓋主言之矣、

he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.

上帝要擦乾他們所有的眼淚，再沒有死亡、憂傷、哭泣和痛苦，因為以前的事都已成過去。」

當這一切發生的時候，就應驗了聖經上的話：「死亡被勝利吞滅了。」

我要把他們從陰間的權勢下贖回嗎？我要救他們脫離死亡嗎？死亡啊，你去降災給他們吧！陰間啊，你去毀滅他們吧！我不會再憐憫他們。

因為在寶座中央的羔羊要作他們的牧人，引導他們到生命之泉那裡，上帝要擦乾他們所有的眼淚。」

耶和華救贖的子民必歡唱著回到錫安，洋溢著永遠的快樂。他們必歡喜快樂，憂愁和歎息都消失無蹤。

耶和華包紮他百姓的創傷，醫治祂子民的傷口時，月亮必發出太陽般的光輝，太陽的光輝必增加七倍，燦爛得好像七個太陽同時發光。

「不要懼怕，因為你不會再受羞辱；不要怕，因為你不會再受凌辱。你必忘記年輕時的羞辱，不再想起寡居時的恥辱。

住在耶路撒冷的錫安百姓啊，你們必不再哭泣。祂聽到你們的呼求後必恩待你們；祂聽見後必應允你們。

耶和華所救贖的人必回來，必歡唱著回到錫安，得到永遠的福樂。他們將歡喜快樂，再沒有憂愁和歎息。

萬軍之耶和華說：「到我所定的日子，他們必成為我寶貴的產業，我要憐憫他們，如同父親憐憫他的孝順兒子。那時，你們將再度看出義人與惡人之間的區別，事奉上帝者和不事奉上帝者之間的不同。

我對你的殿充滿炙熱的愛，辱罵你之人的辱罵都落在我身上。

祂最後要毀滅的仇敵就是死亡。

對他說：「希西迦說，『今日是遭難、蒙羞、受辱的日子，就像嬰兒要出生，產婦卻無力生產一樣。

因為眾兒女都是血肉之軀，所以祂也同樣取了血肉之軀，為要親身經歷死亡，藉此摧毀掌握死亡權勢的魔鬼，釋放那些因怕死而一生做奴隸的人。

之後，死亡和陰間也被扔進火湖裡，這火湖就是第二次的死。

「人們因為我的緣故侮辱、迫害、肆意毀謗你們，你們就有福了。要歡喜快樂，因為你們在天上有很大的獎賞。他們也曾這樣迫害以前的先知。

如今藉著我們救主基督耶穌的降世顯明了出來。基督已經消滅了死亡，藉著福音將不朽的生命彰顯了出來。

我必因耶路撒冷而歡喜，因我的子民而快樂。城裡再聽不見哭泣和哀號聲。

主啊，求你顧念你僕人——我所受的羞辱，我心中如何忍受列國的嘲笑。耶和華啊，你的仇敵嘲笑你所膏立的王，他們嘲笑他的一舉一動。

你們曾經蒙受恥辱，如今將得到雙倍的福分；你們曾經遭受屈辱，如今將因得到產業而快樂。你們將在自己的土地上得到雙倍的福分，享受永遠的快樂。

對耶和華的話心存敬畏的人啊，要聽祂的話：「你們的弟兄憎恨你們，因為我的緣故而棄絕你們，他們譏諷說，『願耶和華得榮耀，我們好看看你們的歡樂！』他們必受羞辱。

「雖然你曾被撇棄、被厭惡，無人從你那裡經過，但我要使你永遠尊貴，世世代代都充滿歡樂。

如果你們為基督的緣故受辱駡，就有福了！因為上帝榮耀的靈常住在你們身上。
