Whoever flees at the sound of terror will fall into a pit; whoever climbs out of the pit will be caught in a snare. The floodgates of the heavens are opened, the foundations of the earth shake.

Anyone who runs away from the terror will fall into the pit. Anyone who climbs out of the pit will be caught in the trap. The Lord will open the windows of the skies. He will flood the land. The foundations of the earth will shake.

He who flees at the sound of the terror shall fall into the pit, and he who climbs out of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For the windows of heaven are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.

那時大地搖撼震動，群山的根基也都動搖，它們搖撼，是因為耶和華發怒。

挪亞六百歲那一年，二月十七日那一天，所有大淵的泉源都裂開了，天上的窗戶都敞開了。

耶和華使他們在以色列人面前潰亂，約書亞在基遍大大地擊殺他們，沿著伯．和崙的上坡路追趕他們，擊打他們，直到亞西加和瑪基大。他們從以色列人面前逃跑，正在下伯．和崙斜坡的時候，耶和華從天上降大冰雹在他們身上，一直到亞西加，打死他們；被冰雹打死的，比以色列人用刀殺死的還多。

那日就像一個人避過了獅子，卻遇上了熊；回到家裡，手靠在牆上，卻被蛇咬。

因此，地雖然震動，群山雖然崩塌入海洋的深處，我們也不害怕。雖然海浪翻騰澎湃，雖然山嶽因波濤洶湧搖動，我們也不害怕。（細拉）

他要逃避鐵製的兵器，但銅弓的箭必把他射穿；

耶和華斥責一發，你鼻孔的氣一出，海底就出現，大地的根基也顯露。

他的腳送自己進入網羅，他走在陷阱之上。圈套要纏住他的腳跟，網羅要罩在他身上。活扣為他藏在地裡，羈絆為他埋在路上。驚駭四面恐嚇他，並且追趕他的腳蹤。他的氣力因飢餓衰敗，禍患預備使他跌倒。災禍侵蝕了他大部分的皮膚，死亡的長子吃掉了他的肢體。他要從他倚靠的帳棚中被拔出來，被帶到驚駭的王那裡，不屬他的住在他的帳棚裡，硫磺撒在他的居所之上。他下面的根枯乾，上面的枝子凋謝。

但那攙扶王的官長回答神人，說：“即使耶和華在天上開了窗戶，也不會有這事發生。”以利沙說：“看哪，你要親眼看見，卻吃不著。”

以色列人和亞蘭人相對安營，共七天。到了第七日，兩軍終於接戰了。那一天，以色列人殺了亞蘭人步兵十萬。餘下來的都逃入亞弗城裡，城牆倒塌，壓死了餘下來的二萬七千人。便．哈達也逃到城裡來，躲進一間密室裡。

因為在我的怒中有火燃燒起來，燒到陰間的深處，把大地和地的出產盡都吞滅，連山的根基也燒著了。我要把災禍加在他們身上，把我的箭向他們射盡。他們必因饑荒消瘦，被熱病和毒症消滅；我也要打發野獸用牙齒咬他們，和土中的蛇類用毒液害他們。外有刀劍，內有驚恐，使人喪亡，使少男少女，嬰孩和白髮老人，盡都喪亡。我原想：“我要把他們分散到各處，把他們的名號都從人間除滅。”

當時，耶和華就使硫磺與火，從天上耶和華那裡降與所多瑪和蛾摩拉；
