万民哪！你们要听这话；世上的居民哪！你们要留心听。不论地位高低，或贫或富，都要一同留心听。

听啊！耶和华向这城呼叫，敬畏你的名就是智慧；支派和城里的会众啊！你们要听。

大地啊！大地啊！大地啊！要听耶和华的话。

城中如果吹起号角，居民怎会不惊慌呢？灾祸如果临到某城，不是耶和华所降的吗？如果主耶和华不先把计划向他的仆人众先知显示，他就不会作任何事。狮子吼叫，谁不害怕；主耶和华宣告，谁敢不代他传话？

诸天哪！要听。大地啊！要留心听。因为耶和华说：“我把孩子养育，使他们成长，他们却背叛了我。

听啊！山上有喧哗的声音，好像是众多的人民；听啊！有多国的人的嘈杂声，好像是列国聚集在一起。万军之耶和华正在数点军兵，预备打仗。

耶和华必在他子民头上显现，他的箭必像闪电一般射出；主耶和华必吹起号角，乘着南方的暴风而行。
