古实河外，船只彼此碰撞，响声四起之地，有祸了！

祸哉！库实河流对岸，翅膀嗡嗡作响之地！

唉！古實河外翅膀刷刷響聲之地，

禍哉！古實河的那一邊、翅膀刷刷作響之地，

禍哉！古實河的那一邊、翅膀刷刷作響之地，

古實河那邊、翅膀刷刷作響之地有禍了！

古實河外，船隻彼此碰撞，響聲四起之地，有禍了！

啊，古實河外飛蝗翅膀刷刷響之地，

禍哉！庫實河流對岸，翅膀嗡嗡作響之地！

噫、古實河外、鼓翼薨薨之地、

Woe to the land of whirring wings along the rivers of Cush,

How terrible it will be for the land whose armies are like large numbers of flying insects! That land is along the rivers of Cush.

Ah, land of whirring wings that is beyond the rivers of Cush,

Listen, Ethiopia— land of fluttering sails that lies at the headwaters of the Nile,

Woe to the land of buzzing insect wings beyond the rivers of Cush,

Woe to the land shadowed with buzzing wings, Which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia,

Ah, the land of the rustling of wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia;

Ah! The land of buzzing insect wings beyond the rivers of Cush

Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which[ is] beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:

The land of buzzing wings is as good as dead, the one beyond the rivers of Cush,

Ah, the land of the rustling of wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia;

From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My worshipers, My dispersed ones, Will bring My offerings.

“ You also, Ethiopians, will be slain by My sword.”

When he heard them say about Tirhakah king of Cush,“ Behold, he has come out to fight you,” he sent messengers again to Hezekiah, saying,

A sword will come upon Egypt, And there will be trembling in Cush; When the slain fall in Egypt, They will take away her wealth, And her foundations will be torn down.Cush, Put, Lud, all Arabia, Libya and the people of the land that is in league will fall with them by the sword.”

Then the Lord said,“ Even as My servant Isaiah has gone naked and barefoot for three years as a sign and symbol against Egypt and Cush,so the king of Assyria will lead away the captives of Egypt and the exiles of Cush, young and old, naked and barefoot with buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.Then they will be terrified and ashamed because of Cush their hope and Egypt their pride.So the inhabitants of this coastland will say on that day,‘ Behold, such is our hope, where we fled for help to be saved from the king of Assyria; and how are we ourselves to escape?’ ”

Who proceed down to Egypt Without consulting Me, To take refuge in the safety of Pharaoh, And to seek shelter in the shadow of Egypt!Therefore the safety of Pharaoh will be your shame, And the shelter in the shadow of Egypt, your humiliation.

Be gracious to me, God, be gracious to me, For my soul takes refuge in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge Until destruction passes by.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help And rely on horses, And trust in chariots because they are many And in horsemen because they are very strong, But they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord!

Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me in the shadow of Your wings

“ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who have been sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.

For You have been my help, And in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy.

He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may take refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and wall.

How precious is Your mercy, God! And the sons of mankind take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.

On that day messengers will go out from Me in ships to frighten carefree Cush; and trembling will come on them as on the day of Egypt; for behold, it is coming!”

Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah

May the Lord reward your work, and may your wages be full from the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”
