然尚有遺餘、若搖橄欖、樹杪遺二三顆、茂樹之遠枝、遺四五枚、以色列之上帝耶和華言之矣、

尚有遺民、若收橄欖果時、高樹之巔、猶遺二三顆、繁枝之上、僅存四五枝、我以色列之上帝耶和華已言之矣。

遺民僅有數人、若收油果時、樹杪尚遺二三顆、茂枝之上僅剩四五枚、此乃主以色列之天主所言、

Yet some gleanings will remain, as when an olive tree is beaten, leaving two or three olives on the topmost branches, four or five on the fruitful boughs,” declares the Lord, the God of Israel.

盜賊若來到你那裏，小偷夜間來到，豈不是只偷他們所需要的嗎？摘葡萄的若來到你那裏，豈不留下幾串嗎？你竟全然滅絕！

關於以色列人，以賽亞喊着：「雖然以色列人多如海沙，得救的將是剩下的餘數，

但上帝的指示是怎麼對他說的呢？他說：「我為自己留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝的。」現在這時刻也是這樣，照着出於恩典的揀選，還有所留的餘數。既是靠恩典，就不憑行為，不然，恩典就不再是恩典了。

基甸對他們說：「我現在所做的怎麼與你們所做的相比呢？以法蓮拾取剩下的葡萄不強過亞比以謝族所摘的葡萄嗎？

以色列啊，你的百姓雖多如海沙，惟有剩下的歸回。滅絕之事已成定局，公義必如水漲溢。

若不是萬軍之耶和華為我們留下一些倖存者，我們早已變成所多瑪，像蛾摩拉一樣了。

「以色列羣山哪，要長出枝條，為我子民以色列結出果子，因為他們即將來到。看哪，我是幫助你們的，我要轉向你們，使你們得以耕作栽種。我要使以色列全家在你們那裏人數增多，城鎮有人居住，廢墟重新建造。我要使人丁和牲畜在你們那裏加增，他們必生養眾多。我要使你們那裏像以前一樣有人居住，並要賜福，比先前更多；你們就知道我是耶和華。我要使我的子民以色列在你們那裏行走，他們必得你為業；你就成為他們的產業，不再使他們喪失兒女。主耶和華如此說，因為人對你們說『你是吞吃人的，又使國民喪失兒女』，所以你必不再吞吃人，也不再使國民喪失兒女。這是主耶和華說的。我使你不再聽見列國的羞辱；你必不再受萬民的辱罵，也不再使國民絆跌。這是主耶和華說的。」

到那日，以色列人哪，耶和華必像人打樹拾果一般，從大河的支流，直到埃及的溪谷，將你們一一收集。

你就對他們說，主耶和華如此說：看哪，我要將約瑟和他的盟友以色列支派的杖，就是在以法蓮手中的那根，與猶大的杖接連成為一根，在我手中合而為一。你要在他們眼前，把寫了字的那兩根杖拿在手中，對他們說，主耶和華如此說：看哪，我要從以色列人所到的列國帶領他們，從四圍聚集他們，領他們回到本地。我要使他們在這地，在以色列羣山上成為一國，必有一王作他們全體的王。他們不再成為二國，絕不再分為二國。他們不再因偶像和可憎的物，並一切的罪過玷污自己。我卻要救他們離開一切犯罪所住的地方；我要潔淨他們，如此，他們要作我的子民，我要作他們的上帝。「我的僕人大衛要作他們的王；他們全體必歸一個牧人。他們必順從我的典章，謹守遵行我的律例。他們要住在我賜給我僕人雅各的地上，就是你們列祖所住之地。他們和他們的子孫，並子孫的子孫，都永遠住在那裏。我的僕人大衛要作他們的王，直到永遠；

我不再轉臉不顧他們，因我已將我的靈澆灌以色列家。這是主耶和華說的。」

以色列全家都要得救。如經上所記：「必有一位救主從錫安出來，要消除雅各家一切不虔不敬。」

但我在以色列中留下七千人，是未曾向巴力屈膝，未曾親吻巴力的。」

我有禍了！我好像夏日收割後的果子，又如收成之後剩餘的葡萄，沒有一掛可吃的，也沒有我心所渴想初熟的無花果。
