And in that day it shall come to pass,[ that] the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.

“到那日，雅各的荣耀必衰微，他肥壮的身体必消瘦；

到那日，雅各的榮耀必至枵薄；他肥胖的身體必漸瘦弱。

到那日，雅各的榮美必失色，它肥胖的身軀漸漸消瘦；

到那日，雅各的榮美必失色，它肥胖的身軀漸漸消瘦；

「到那日，雅各的榮耀必消失，他肥胖的身軀必漸漸消瘦。

“到那日，雅各的榮耀必衰落，他肥胖的身體必消瘦。

當那日子雅各的威榮必衰落，他皮肉的肥胖必消瘦。

「到那日，雅各的榮耀必衰微，他肥壯的身體必消瘦；

是日也、雅各之榮消減、豐腴之軀瘦瘠、

當是日雅各家肥健之人、變為瘦瘠、尊榮之輩、降為卑賤、

當是日雅各之榮華必減、其軀之豐腴必瘠、

“ In that day the glory of Jacob will fade; the fat of his body will waste away.

“ In days to come, the glory of Jacob’s people will fade. Their strength will get weaker and weaker.

And in that day the glory of Jacob will be brought low, and the fat of his flesh will grow lean.

“ In that day Israel’s glory will grow dim; its robust body will waste away.

On that day the splendor of Jacob will fade, and his healthy body will become emaciated.

Now on that day the glory of Jacob will fade, And the fatness of his flesh will become lean.

“ In that day it shall come to pass That the glory of Jacob will wane, And the fatness of his flesh grow lean.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.

On that day the splendor of Jacob will fade, and his healthy body will become emaciated.

“ At that time Jacob’s splendor will be greatly diminished, and he will become skin and bones.

“ It will happen in that day that the glory of Jacob will be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh will become lean.

Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.

But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered[ with fatness]; then he forsook God[ which] made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.They provoked him to jealousy with strange[ gods], with abominations provoked they him to anger.They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new[ gods that] came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.Of the Rock[ that] begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.And when the LORD saw[ it], he abhorred[ them], because of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end[ shall be]: for they[ are] a very froward generation, children in whom[ is] no faith.They have moved me to jealousy with[ that which is] not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with[ those which are] not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.[ They shall be] burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling[ also] with the man of gray hairs.I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy, lest their adversaries should behave themselves strangely,[ and] lest they should say, Our hand[ is] high, and the LORD hath not done all this.

When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people,[ there shall be] as the shaking of an olive tree,[ and] as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.

The LORD[ will be] terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and[ men] shall worship him, every one from his place,[ even] all the isles of the heathen.

Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand[ is] stretched out still.

The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.

From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs,[ even] glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.

Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh:[ and] they together[ shall be] against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand[ is] stretched out still.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD unto them; Behold, I,[ even] I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle.
