耶戶說：「活捉他們！」人就活捉了他們，把他們殺在伯‧艾克特的坑邊，共四十二人，一個也沒有留下。

他們在床上呼號，卻不誠心哀求我；他們為求五穀新酒而聚集，卻背叛我。

信一到他們那裏，他們就把王的七十個兒子殺了，將首級裝在筐裏，送到耶斯列，耶戶那裏。

心利見城被攻陷，就進了王宮的堡壘，放火焚燒宮殿，自焚而死。

他的大臣心利，就是管理他一半戰車的軍官背叛他。當他在得撒，在王宮的管家亞雜家裏喝醉的時候，心利進去擊殺他，把他殺死，篡了他的位。這是猶大王亞撒第二十七年的事。心利一坐上王位就殺了巴沙全家，連他的親屬和朋友，一個男丁也沒有留下。

我在他們中間尋找一人重修城牆，在我面前為這地站在缺口上，使我不致滅絕它，卻連一個也找不着。

這一切災禍臨到我們，是照摩西律法上所寫的，我們卻沒有求耶和華－我們神的恩惠，使我們回轉離開罪孽，明白你的真理。

耶戶全力拉弓，射中約蘭兩臂中間，箭從心窩穿出，約蘭就仆倒在車上。

猶大王亞撒第三年，巴沙殺了拿答，篡了他的位。

但隨從暗利的百姓勝過隨從基納兒子提比尼的百姓。提比尼死了，暗利就作了王。
