On special days to honor our king, the princes get drunk with wine. And the king enjoys the party. He joins hands with those who pretend to be faithful to him.

祸哉！以法莲酒徒高傲的冠冕，其荣美竟如花凋残；他们在肥沃的山谷顶上，被酒击败。

竟向天上的主自高，差人将他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、王后、妃嫔用这器皿饮酒。你又赞美那不能看、不能听、无知无识，用金、银、铜、铁、木、石造的神明，没有将荣耀归与那手中掌管你气息，管理你一切行动的神。

祸哉！那给邻舍酒喝，加上毒物，使人喝醉，为要看见他们下体的人！你满受羞辱，不得荣耀；你也喝吧，显明你是未受割礼的！耶和华右手的杯必传到你那里，你的荣耀就变为羞辱。

伯沙撒王为他的一千大臣摆设盛筵，与这一千人饮酒。伯沙撒在欢饮之间，吩咐人将他父尼布甲尼撒从耶路撒冷圣殿所掳掠的金银器皿拿来，好使王与大臣、王后、妃嫔用这器皿饮酒。于是他们把圣殿，就是耶路撒冷神殿中所掳掠的金器皿拿来，王和大臣、王后、妃嫔就用这器皿饮酒。他们饮酒，赞美金、银、铜、铁、木、石造的神明。

耶罗波安王听见神人向伯特利的坛呼叫的话，就从坛上伸手，说：“拿住他！”王向神人所伸的手却萎缩了，不能弯回。

祸哉！那些清晨早起，追寻烈酒，因酒狂热，流连到深夜的人，他们在宴席上弹琴，鼓瑟，击鼓，吹笛，饮酒，却不留意耶和华的作为，也不留心他手所做的。

酒能使人傲慢，烈酒使人喧嚷，凡沉溺其中的，都无智慧。

到了希律的生日，希罗底的女儿在众人面前跳舞，使希律欢喜，

到了第三天，正是法老的生日，他为众臣仆摆设宴席，使司酒长和司膳长从众臣仆中抬起头来，

不从恶人的计谋，不站罪人的道路，不坐傲慢人的座位，惟喜爱耶和华的律法，昼夜思想他的律法；这人便为有福！

祸哉！那些以饮酒称雄，以调烈酒称霸的人。他们因受贿赂，就称恶人为义，将义人的义夺去。

谁有祸患？谁有灾难？谁有纷争？谁有焦虑？谁无故受伤？谁的眼目红赤？就是那流连饮酒的人，常去寻找调和的酒。酒发红，在杯中闪烁时，你不可观看；虽下咽舒畅，终究它必咬你如蛇，刺你如毒蛇。

坐在城门口的谈论我，酒徒也以我为歌曲。

与智慧人同行的，必得智慧；和愚昧人作伴的，必受亏损。

这些人也因酒摇晃，因烈酒东倒西歪。祭司和先知因烈酒摇晃，被酒所困，因烈酒东倒西歪。他们错解默示，审判时不分是非。筵席上都满了呕吐的污秽，没有一处干净。

不要醉酒，酒能使人放荡；要被圣灵充满。

有一天，恰巧是希律的生日，希律摆设宴席，请了大臣、千夫长和加利利的领袖。

因为你们从前随从外邦人的心意，生活在淫荡、情欲、醉酒、荒宴、狂饮和可憎的偶像崇拜中，时候已经够了。在这些事上，他们见你们不与他们同奔放荡无度的路就以为怪，毁谤你们。
