大地悲哀衰殘；利巴嫩羞辱枯爛；沙崙好像原野；巴珊迦密把樹葉都抖掉了。

地哪能不因這事而震動，而上頭的居民不悲哀呢？地哪能不全然漲起像尼羅河，而湧上又退落如埃及河呢？』

這地悲哀，遍野的青草枯乾，要到幾時呢？因這裏的居民所行的壞事、牲口和飛鳥都被掃滅掉，因為人們說：『他看不到我們的結局。』

他說：『永恆主從錫安吼叫，從耶路撒冷發出聲音，牧人的草場就悲哀，迦密的山頂就枯乾。』

他叱責着海，使海枯乾，使一切江河乾涸。巴珊和迦密的樹林衰殘消損；利巴嫩的花苞也衰萎零落。
