“ Therefore I will take away my grain when it ripens, and my new wine when it is ready. I will take back my wool and my linen, intended to cover her naked body.

那時，你們必再次看出義人與惡人、服事神的人與不服事神的人的區別。」

因為你忘記了那拯救你的神，不記念你避難的磐石。因此，你雖栽上佳美的秧子，種上外族的葡萄枝，又在栽它的日子使它成長，在種它的早晨使它開花，但在疾病和傷痛無可救治的日子裡，收成卻如飛而去。

儘管以東說：「我們雖遭毀壞，但我們要回去，重建廢墟之處。」萬軍之耶和華卻如此說：「他們就算重建了，我還要拆毀。人們必稱呼以東為『邪惡的地界』、『耶和華永遠惱怒之民』。」
