孰為智者、而明此事乎、孰為哲人、而知其情乎、耶和華之途乃正、義人必履之、而罪人蹶於其中、

誰有智慧、可悉其情、孰具聰明、可知其道、耶和華之途、無不正、義人履之、罪人蹶焉。

誰為智者而明此事乎、孰具聰明而知之乎、主之道無不正、義人履之、罪人顛仆其中、或作主之道無不公正善人履之惡人顛仆其上誰有智慧能明此理誰有聰明能知此事

Who is wise? Let them realize these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand. The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.

If someone is wise, they will realize that what I’ve said is true. If they have understanding, they will know what it means. The ways of the Lord are right. People who are right with God live the way he wants them to. But those who refuse to obey him trip and fall.

Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever is discerning, let him know them; for the ways of the Lord are right, and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.

Let those who are wise understand these things. Let those with discernment listen carefully. The paths of the Lord are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them. But in those paths sinners stumble and fall.

Let whoever is wise understand these things, and whoever is insightful recognize them. For the ways of the LORD are right, and the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.

Who is wise enough to understand this? Who has been instructed by the Lord and can explain it? Why has the land been ruined and laid waste like a desert that no one can cross? (niv)

Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand. (niv)

let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance—for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise. (niv)

I know, Lord, that your laws are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me. (niv)

and because I consider all your precepts right, I hate every wrong path. (niv)

He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he. (niv)

The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. (niv)

Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother:“ This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, (niv)

“ You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered,“ You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” (niv)

Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone.As it is written:“ See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame.” (niv)

“ Yet you say,‘ The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear, you Israelites: Is my way unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust? (niv)

For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task? (niv)

So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good. (niv)

If I had not done among them the works no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. As it is, they have seen, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. (niv)

Far be it from you to do such a thing— to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (niv)

The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.They are established for ever and ever, enacted in faithfulness and uprightness. (niv)

The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. (niv)

“ Yet your people say,‘ The way of the Lord is not just.’ But it is their way that is not just.If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, they will die for it.And if a wicked person turns away from their wickedness and does what is just and right, they will live by doing so.Yet you Israelites say,‘ The way of the Lord is not just.’ But I will judge each of you according to your own ways.” (niv)

He replied,“ Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. (niv)

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lieand so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. (niv)

Jesus said,“ For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.” (niv)

The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,‘ Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.” (niv)

The path of the righteous is level; you, the Upright One, make the way of the righteous smooth. (niv)

This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. (niv)

Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.” (niv)

All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this.They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff. (niv)

Nevertheless, the righteous will hold to their ways, and those with clean hands will grow stronger. (niv)

The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread.He will be a holy place; for both Israel and Judah he will be a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.Many of them will stumble; they will fall and be broken, they will be snared and captured.” (niv)

They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion. (niv)

But rebels and sinners will both be broken, and those who forsake the Lord will perish. (niv)

“ So listen to me, you men of understanding. Far be it from God to do evil, from the Almighty to do wrong.He repays everyone for what they have done; he brings on them what their conduct deserves.It is unthinkable that God would do wrong, that the Almighty would pervert justice. (niv)

Is he not the One who says to kings,‘ You are worthless,’ and to nobles,‘ You are wicked,’who shows no partiality to princes and does not favor the rich over the poor, for they are all the work of his hands? (niv)

Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe,“ The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”and,“ A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they disobey the message— which is also what they were destined for. (niv)

Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. (niv)
