and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by a mere human being.

He serves in the sacred tent. The Lord set up the true holy tent. A mere human being did not set it up.

There he ministers in the heavenly Tabernacle, the true place of worship that was built by the Lord and not by human hands.

For we know that if our earthly house of[ this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

[ It was] therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands,[ which are] the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

And he said unto them, These[ are] the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and[ in] the prophets, and[ in] the psalms, concerning me.

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises[ made] unto the fathers:

And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy[ place] before the LORD, and when he cometh out, that he die not.

The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:Which[ was] a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;[ Which stood] only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed[ on them] until the time of reformation.But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption[ for us].

In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

And[ having] an high priest over the house of God;

And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office,[ even] Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons.

For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker[ is] God.
