惟麥基洗德、非由利未出、而於亞伯拉罕所有者、什一取之、且亞伯拉罕素蒙上帝許、而麥基洗德為之祝嘏、

麥基洗德雖不屬利未之族、猶於亞伯拉罕之物、什取其一、且為蒙應許者祝福、

惟不與若輩同族之麥基德、乃受貢於亞伯漢、且為彼承有恩諾之身祝嘏焉。

This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

Melchizedek did not trace his family line from Levi. But he collected a tenth from Abraham. Melchizedek blessed the one who had received the promises.

But this man who does not have his descent from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

But Melchizedek, who was not a descendant of Levi, collected a tenth from Abraham. And Melchizedek placed a blessing upon Abraham, the one who had already received the promises of God.

But one without this lineage collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed the one who had the promises.

But the one whose genealogy is not traced from them collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed the one who had the promises.

but he whose genealogy is not derived from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

but he whose genealogy is not counted from them hath taken tithes of Abraham, and hath blessed him that hath the promises.

But one without this lineage collected tenths from Abraham and blessed the one who had the promises.

But Melchizedek who does not share their ancestry collected a tithe from Abraham and blessed the one who possessed the promise.

but he whose genealogy is not counted from them has accepted tithes from Abraham, and has blessed him who has the promises.

For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world,[ was] not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

And he blessed him, and said, Blessed[ be] Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.Now consider how great this man[ was], unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of[ them], and embraced[ them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

As for me, behold, my covenant[ is] with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

Say, I pray thee, thou[ art] my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee.

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth,[ then] shall thy seed also be numbered.Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.

That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which[ is] upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Who are Israelites; to whom[ pertaineth] the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service[ of God], and the promises;

By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten[ son],

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
