律法是設立了許多人做大祭司、總是有弱點的人；但律法之後起誓的話卻是設立了一個兒子、是完全勝任到永遠的。

律法本是立软弱的人为大祭司；但在律法以后起誓的话，是立儿子为大祭司，乃是成全到永远的。

就在這些日期的末後、藉着一個兒子向我們說話。這兒子、上帝早已立為承受萬有的，也藉着他造了諸世界。

因為萬有所為、萬有所藉而存在的上帝，在領着許多兒子進入榮耀，使拯救他們的開創者藉着受苦而得完全，本是適當的。

凡大祭司從人中間選取了出來、而被設立、替人辦理關於上帝的事，要替罪供獻禮物和祭物，都能體諒愚蒙而失迷的人，因為他自己也掛着軟弱。

但基督治理上帝的家呢、乃是做兒子。我們呢、就是上帝的家，如果我們持守這因盼望而有的大膽與誇勝——的話。

照樣，基督受職為大祭司、也沒有榮耀自己，乃是向他宣說者榮耀他，說：『你是我的兒子，我今日生了你』。

雖是兒子，還因所受的苦而學了聽從；既成了完全勝任的，便對一切聽從他的人成了永世拯救的本原，

若是受膏的祭司犯了罪、以致人民有了罪責，那麼他就應當為了他所犯的罪將一隻牛、是完全沒有殘疾的小公牛、供獻與永恆主為解罪祭。

耶穌對他們說：『你們去告訴那個狐狸說：「你看吧，今天明天我趕鬼，完成醫務，第三天我就完了。」

耶穌受了酸酒，就說：『完成了！』便低下頭，把靈交付了。

惟獨他、因永遠長存、就有不能讓與人的祭司職分。

摩西對亞倫說：『這人民向你作了甚麼，你竟使他們陷於大罪呀？』亞倫說：『求我主不要生氣；你認識這人民，知道他們是一味作壞事的。

永恆主起了誓，決不後悔；他說：『你永做祭司，按照麥基洗德的等次。』

他無父、無母、無族譜；他日子也無始，生命也無終：他被形成為跟上帝的兒子相似，繼續做祭司、永續不斷。

那麼我們既有一位尊大的、經過了諸天的大祭司、上帝的兒子耶穌，我們就該執守這信認。
