现在你们既然认识神，更可以说是神所认识的，怎么还回到那些软弱贫乏的言论，情愿再作它们的奴仆呢？

又是永活的；我曾经死过，看哪，现在又活着，直活到永永远远，并且拿着死亡和阴间的钥匙。

你们若与基督一同死了，脱离了世俗的言论，为什么仍然好像活在世俗中一样，拘守那“不可摸、不可尝、不可触”的规条呢？

另一方面，因为耶稣是永远长存的，就拥有他永不更改的祭司职位。因此，那些靠着他进到神面前的人，他都能拯救到底；因为他长远活着，为他们代求。

因为有为他作证的说：“你永远作祭司，是照着麦基洗德的体系。”

律法既然是以后要来的美好事物的影子，不是本体的真象，就不能凭着每年献同样的祭品，使那些进前来的人得到完全。

这第一进会幕是现今的时代的预表，其实所献的礼物和祭品，都不能使敬拜的人在良心上得到完全。这些只是关于饮食和各样洁净的礼仪，是在“更新的时候”来到之前，为肉体立的规例。

涂抹了那写在规条上反对我们、与我们为敌的字句，并且把这字句从我们中间拿去，钉在十字架上。

只有耶稣是用誓言立的，因为那立他的对他说：“主已经起了誓，决不改变，你永远作祭司。”
