Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, partners in a heavenly calling, take note of Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess,

同蒙天召的圣洁弟兄啊，你们应当思想我们所认为使者、为大祭司的耶稣。

是以清潔之兄弟、與天之召、宜思我儕所信奉之使者大祭司耶穌、

廉潔兄弟、共蒙天召、當深思吾教祭司長、奉上帝命之耶穌基督、

聖潔兄弟、共蒙天召者、爾當深思我教之使者與大祭司、我教之使者與大祭司或作我儕所信為使者為大祭司者即基督耶穌、

是故同蒙恩召之聖兄弟、盍一諦觀為吾教總宣道使及大司祭之耶穌乎！

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.

Holy brothers and sisters, God chose you to be his people. So keep thinking about Jesus. We embrace him as our apostle and our high priest.

Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession,

And so, dear brothers and sisters who belong to God and are partners with those called to heaven, think carefully about this Jesus whom we declare to be God’s messenger and High Priest.

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession.

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession: Jesus;

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, even Jesus;

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession: Jesus,

Therefore since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession.For we do not have a high priest incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin.

Therefore he had to be made like his brothers and sisters in every respect, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in things relating to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

He is the one who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not based on our works but on his own purpose and grace, granted to us in Christ Jesus before time began,

with this goal in mind, I strive toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

For it is indeed fitting for us to have such a high priest: holy, innocent, undefiled, separate from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you too were called to the one hope of your calling,

I, therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live worthily of the calling with which you have been called,

For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth to confirm the promises made to the fathers,

For we have become partners with Christ, if in fact we hold our initial confidence firm until the end.

Here then is what the LORD who rules over all says:‘ Think carefully about what you are doing.

And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose,because those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified.

So Jesus said to them again,“ Peace be with you. Just as the Father has sent me, I also send you.”

An ox recognizes its owner, a donkey recognizes where its owner puts its food; but Israel does not recognize me, my people do not understand.”

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Think about what I am saying and the Lord will give you understanding of all this.

exhorting and encouraging you and insisting that you live in a way worthy of God who calls you to his own kingdom and his glory.

I do all these things because of the gospel, so that I can be a participant in it.

The LORD makes this promise on oath and will not revoke it:“ You are an eternal priest after the pattern of Melchizedek.”

giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in the saints’ inheritance in the light.

Compete well for the faith and lay hold of that eternal life you were called for and made your good confession for in the presence of many witnesses.

“ Therefore, son of man, pack up your belongings as if for exile. During the day, while they are watching, pretend to go into exile. Go from where you live to another place. Perhaps they will understand, although they are a rebellious house.

For indeed he who makes holy and those being made holy all have the same origin, and so he is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,

I will do this so people will observe and recognize, so they will pay attention and understand that the LORD’s power has accomplished this, and that the Holy One of Israel has brought it into being.”

Because he considered and turned from all the sins he had done, he will surely live; he will not die.

They have stringed instruments, tambourines, flutes, and wine at their parties. So they do not recognize what the LORD is doing, they do not perceive what he is bringing about.

Then he said to Thomas,“ Put your finger here, and examine my hands. Extend your hand and put it into my side. Do not continue in your unbelief, but believe.”

where Jesus our forerunner entered on our behalf, since he became a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.

Now therefore reflect carefully on the recent past, before one stone was laid on another in the LORD’s temple.

And in this regard we pray for you always, that our God will make you worthy of his calling and fulfill by his power your every desire for goodness and every work of faith,

For in the same way the holy women who hoped in God long ago adorned themselves by being subject to their husbands,

But those who have believing masters must not show them less respect because they are brothers. Instead they are to serve all the more, because those who benefit from their service are believers and dearly loved. Teach them and exhort them about these things.

to the church of God that is in Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, and called to be saints, with all those in every place who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours.

For they were pleased to do this, and indeed they are indebted to the Jerusalem saints. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are obligated also to minister to them in material things.

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,

( Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, for God has pronounced judgment against her on your behalf!)

They will make war with the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them, because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those accompanying the Lamb are the called, chosen, and faithful.”

but now he has reconciled you by his physical body through death to present you holy, without blemish, and blameless before him–

He called you to this salvation through our gospel, so that you may possess the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

From Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to those who are called, wrapped in the love of God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ.

So as your fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings and as one who shares in the glory that will be revealed, I urge the elders among you:

even us, whom he has called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

I call on you solemnly in the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers and sisters.

For every high priest is taken from among the people and appointed to represent them before God, to offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.He is able to deal compassionately with those who are ignorant and erring, since he also is subject to weakness,and for this reason he is obligated to make sin offerings for himself as well as for the people.And no one assumes this honor on his own initiative, but only when called to it by God, as in fact Aaron was.So also Christ did not glorify himself in becoming high priest, but the one who glorified him was God, who said to him,“ You are my Son! Today I have fathered you,”as also in another place God says,“ You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”During his earthly life Christ offered both requests and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death and he was heard because of his devotion.Although he was a son, he learned obedience through the things he suffered.And by being perfected in this way, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him,and he was designated by God as high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

Now the main point of what we are saying is this: We have such a high priest, one who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,a minister in the sanctuary and the true tabernacle that the Lord, not man, set up.For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. So this one too had to have something to offer.

Now if some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among them and participated in the richness of the olive root,

And our hope for you is steadfast because we know that as you share in our sufferings, so also you will share in our comfort.

Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all share the one bread.

What we have seen and heard we announce to you too, so that you may have fellowship with us( and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ).

But now Christ has come as the high priest of the good things to come. He passed through the greater and more perfect tent not made with hands, that is, not of this creation,

namely, that through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus.

And, after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

You also are among them, called to belong to Jesus Christ.To all those loved by God in Rome, called to be saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

I can pray this because his divine power has bestowed on us everything necessary for life and godliness through the rich knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence.Through these things he has bestowed on us his precious and most magnificent promises, so that by means of what was promised you may become partakers of the divine nature, after escaping the worldly corruption that is produced by evil desire.For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith excellence, to excellence, knowledge;to knowledge, self- control; to self- control, perseverance; to perseverance, godliness;to godliness, brotherly affection; to brotherly affection, unselfish love.For if these things are really yours and are continually increasing, they will keep you from becoming ineffective and unproductive in your pursuit of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ more intimately.But concerning the one who lacks such things– he is blind. That is to say, he is nearsighted, since he has forgotten about the cleansing of his past sins.Therefore, brothers and sisters, make every effort to be sure of your calling and election. For by doing this you will never stumble into sin.
