For in one place the Scriptures say,“ What are mere mortals that you should think about them, or a son of man that you should care for him?

相反，有人在聖經中做見證說：「人算什麼，你竟顧念他？世人算什麼，你竟眷顧他？

乃是有人在某處鄭重地明證說：『人是甚麼，你竟顧念他？人類是甚麼，你竟眷顧他？

但有證者云、世人為誰、爾垂念之、人子為誰、爾眷顧之、

經云、世人誰耶、爾垂念之、人子誰耶、爾眷顧之、

有人證於經曰、世人為誰、爾垂念之、人子為誰、爾眷顧之、

惟古人已先我言之：『人處天地間、碌碌無所長；乃蒙主拔擢、聖眷異尋常；

But there is a place where someone has testified:“ What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him?

There is a place where someone has spoken about this. He said,“ What are human beings that you think about them? What is a son of man that you take care of him?

It has been testified somewhere,“ What is man, that you are mindful of him, or the son of man, that you care for him?

But someone somewhere has testified: What is man that you remember him, or the son of man that you care for him?

But someone has testified somewhere, saying,“ What is man, that You think of him? Or a son of man, that You are concerned about him?

But one testified in a certain place, saying:“ What is man that You are mindful of him, Or the son of man that You take care of him?

But one hath somewhere testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? Or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

But one has somewhere testified: What is man that You remember him, or the son of man that You care for him?

But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Instead someone testified somewhere:“ What is man that you think of him or the son of man that you care for him?

But one has somewhere testified, saying,“ What is man, that you think of him? Or the son of man, that you care for him?

what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor.You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority—the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals,the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents.

O Lord, what are human beings that you should notice them, mere mortals that you should think about them?

“ What are people, that you should make so much of us, that you should think of us so often?For you examine us every morning and test us every moment.

“ I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear?

In comparison, people are maggots; we mortals are mere worms.”

We know it is ready because of the place in the Scriptures where it mentions the seventh day:“ On the seventh day God rested from all his work.”

They wondered what time or situation the Spirit of Christ within them was talking about when he told them in advance about Christ’s suffering and his great glory afterward.

Can any mortal be pure? Can anyone born of a woman be just?

And in another passage God said to him,“ You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”

“ Soon I will die,” Joseph told his brothers,“ but God will surely come to help you and lead you out of this land of Egypt. He will bring you back to the land he solemnly promised to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.”

Great fear swept the crowd, and they praised God, saying,“ A mighty prophet has risen among us,” and“ God has visited his people today.”

The nations of the world are worth nothing to him. In his eyes they count for less than nothing— mere emptiness and froth.

Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us,

“ Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has visited and redeemed his people.

Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there.When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them.
