Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the gate, so that He might sanctify the people by His own blood.

是以耶穌欲以己血使民成聖、亦受苦於邑門外、

故耶穌亦自殉於邑門之外、俾以其血聖化萬民。

And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.

He entered the most holy place once for all, not by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a young cow, sprinkling those who are defiled, sanctify for the purification of the flesh,how much more will the blood of the Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works to serve the living God?

They threw him out of the city and began to stone him. And the witnesses laid their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul.

For the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers,

to make her holy, cleansing her with the washing of water by the word.

When they had mocked Him, they stripped Him of the purple robe, put His clothes on Him, and led Him out to crucify Him.They forced a man coming in from the country, who was passing by, to carry Jesus’ cross. He was Simon, a Cyrenian, the father of Alexander and Rufus.And they brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha( which means Skull Place).They tried to give Him wine mixed with myrrh, but He did not take it.Then they crucified Him and divided His clothes, casting lots for them to decide what each would get.

So the entire community brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Carrying His own cross, He went out to what is called Skull Place, which in Hebrew is called Golgotha.There they crucified Him and two others with Him, one on either side, with Jesus in the middle.

And some of you used to be like this. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

After Moses spoke to the Israelites, they brought the one who had cursed to the outside of the camp and stoned him. So the Israelites did as the Lord had commanded Moses.

That is why even the first covenant was inaugurated with blood.For when every command had been proclaimed by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, along with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll itself and all the people,

But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and at once blood and water came out.

Then Joshua and all Israel with him took Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the cloak, and the bar of gold, his sons and daughters, his ox, donkey, and sheep, his tent, and all that he had, and brought them up to the Valley of Achor.

How much worse punishment do you think one will deserve who has trampled on the Son of God, regarded as profane the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

I sanctify Myself for them, so they also may be sanctified by the truth.
