所以耶稣为了藉着自己的血使子民分别为圣，也在城门外受难。

故耶穌亦自殉於邑門之外、俾以其血聖化萬民。

他也没有藉着山羊和牛犊的血，而是藉着他自己的血，一次性地进入圣所，成就了永恒的救赎。实际上，如果山羊和公牛的血，以及母牛犊的灰，洒在那些污秽的人身上，能使他们分别为圣、肉身洁净，更何况基督的血呢！基督藉着永恒的圣灵，将自己毫无瑕疵地献给神，他的血难道不能洁净我们的良心脱离致死的行为，使我们事奉永生的神吗？

把他拉到城外，用石头砸他。那些见证人把自己的外衣放在一个称为扫罗的年轻人脚前。

因为那使人分别为圣的，和那些被分别为圣的，都是出于同一位。因这理由，他称他们为弟兄，并不以为耻。

基督这么做，是要藉着话语，用水的洗涤而洁净教会，使她分别为圣，

他们戏弄完了，就脱下他紫色袍子，给他穿上他自己的衣服，然后带他出去，要把他钉上十字架。有一个古利奈人西门，是亚历山大和鲁弗斯的父亲，正从乡下来，经过那里。他们就强迫他来背耶稣的十字架。他们把耶稣带到一个叫各各他的地方——“各各他”翻译出来就是“骷髅地”；然后把调了没药的酒给耶稣，但他不接受。于是，他们把耶稣钉上十字架，又分他的衣服，抽签看谁得什么。

耶稣自己背着十字架出来，前往一个叫“骷髅地”的地方，希伯来语叫做“各各他”。在那里，他们把耶稣钉上十字架，还把另外两个人与耶稣一起钉上十字架，这边一个，那边一个，耶稣在中间。

你们有些人过去是这样，但是藉着主耶稣基督的名，藉着我们神的灵，你们已经被洗净了，被分别为圣了，被称为义了。

原来不用血，第一个约也不能成立，就是说，摩西按照律法向全体民众宣讲了所有的诫命之后，拿了牛犊和山羊的血，掺上水，用深红色的羊毛和牛膝草，洒在那书卷上和全体民众身上，

不过有一个士兵用长矛刺入耶稣的肋旁，立刻有血和水流了出来。

何况一个人践踏了神的儿子，把那使自己成圣的立约之血看做是俗物，又侮辱了恩典的圣灵，你们想想，这个人难道不该受更厉害的惩罚吗？

我为了他们，自己分别为圣，好使他们也能在真理中被分别为圣。
