又忘勸爾之言、如諭子曰、吾子乎、主懲爾、勿輕視、受其譴、勿喪志、

爾曹又遺忘勸爾如子之言曰、我子、主懲爾、勿藐視、主責爾、勿喪膽、

夫天主訓爾如子、爾豈已忘之乎？其言曰：『吾兒莫輕鍛鍊恩、受主懲責毋灰心；

Have you completely forgotten this word of hope? It speaks to you as a father to his children. It says,“ My son, think of the Lord’s training as important. Do not lose hope when he corrects you.

And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said,“ My child, don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline, and don’t give up when he corrects you.

And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: My son, do not take the Lord’s discipline lightly or lose heart when you are reproved by him,

and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,“ My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, Nor faint when you are punished by Him;

And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:“ My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;

and ye have forgotten the exhortation which reasoneth with you as with sons, My son, regard not lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when thou art reproved of him;

And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: My son, do not take the Lord’s discipline lightly or faint when you are reproved by Him,

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

And have you forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as sons?“ My son, do not scorn the Lord’s discipline or give up when he corrects you.

You have forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you as with children,“ My son, don’t take lightly the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are reproved by him;

My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof,for the Lord reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.

“ Behold, blessed is the one whom God reproves; therefore despise not the discipline of the Almighty.For he wounds, but he binds up; he shatters, but his hands heal.

Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.

But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world.

Blessed is the man whom you discipline, O Lord, and whom you teach out of your law,

Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

The Lord has disciplined me severely, but he has not given me over to death.

I hold my life in my hand continually, but I do not forget your law.

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair;persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;

“ Only take care, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things that your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your children’s children—how on the day that you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, the Lord said to me,‘ Gather the people to me, that I may let them hear my words, so that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children so.’

Consecrate yourselves, you and your brothers, so that you may bring up the ark of the Lord, the God of Israel, to the place that I have prepared for it.Because you did not carry it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not seek him according to the rule.”

O Lord, rebuke me not in your anger, nor discipline me in your wrath.Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.

I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.

And Joshua said,“ Alas, O Lord God, why have you brought this people over the Jordan at all, to give us into the hands of the Amorites, to destroy us? My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments,

It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?

But he said to me,“ My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee,

Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth.

For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke, yet I have not forgotten your statutes.

And they remembered his words,
